Hey, I was driving my type s this morning and I went to do a pull from like 50-90. When I got into boost and started to reach max boost it only went to a max of around 19psi which is like 4 less than the max should be (I’ve seen the car hit 23psi multiple times). However, I’m not sure if there is an issue with the car cause it’s not throwing any codes and I think it might just be because it was 53 degrees out when I was driving this morning. Just wanted to make sure and get others opinions since I know people here know way more about turbo engines than I do.

Yes, it's the cold air. More dense. Car can make the same power at lower boost in the winter time. Enjoy the air!! Car will boost higher in the summer months.

Winter.... The ultimate CAI.

Would be nice if the computers would give us the extra power. I mean it shouldn't hurt too much since the colder denser air would also serve to cool the engine bay more efficiently.

Ok. Thank you so much as it kinda threw me off. It hasn’t really been cold till this week in South Carolina and so when I’ve driven the car earlier this month it was still needing to make 23psi. I understand now.
