My dealer’s system is still down from that CDK hack. So just a sitting duck until then. I’ll try to go directly there either today or tomorrow

Sounds like a low battery or a fuse that keeps blowing and they haven't found the source

Just happened to me. My 09 civic si kept blowing fuse #3. Had cel, vsa , battery and the exclamation point light on. Took 2 trips but eventually found the culprit.

alright, an update. I finally got a repair order but it's from their internal system, so it looks different from the rest. it's submitted to my lawyer and now let's see if my case is worth something.

I gotchu! I actually haven’t heard anything back yet from either. I called my lawyer and he said that they haven’t responded back to him (or them) yet either. So just in the waiting game. Once I get a full response or resolution, I will in-terms finish this tread with hopefully all the answers. What’s going on with yours?

so I got all those codes as well. first time they told me that I drove the computer too hard. but it's supposed to be driven in my eyes... second time, they found a coolant leak in one of the lines and that's why the car went into limp mode again. third time they found a crack in the coolant tank which caused the car to get into limp mode again, but thankfully it did not overheat. but why would the car keep getting into limp mode when its a coolant leak?

alright, so I have an update to everyone, got my car looked at by an acura tech sent from corporate and they stated that my car was fine and nothing needs to be filed. this happened on november 7th and I wanted to wait a good amount of time to make sure things were perfectly fine with the vehicle.

Fast forward to friday, december 13th. New issue, cars' TPMS system has a problem. doesn't read any of the tires psi levels. it came up as i was driving home from work and thought crap not again. I've been driving it regularly since it is my mode of transportation. it goes and comes but everyday now it flashes and "service warning" to take the car back to the dealer.

at this point of ownership with this vehicle, i no longer want it anymore and just wanna get out of it. (had the car since august 2023) any thoughts would be appreciated

Talk to a lawyer. If it was me, I might just have this latest issue fixed and just sell it or trade it in on what you do want. Sorry for your troubles.

You either take the lawyer route or take the depreciation hit. Either way is painful and expensive. The lawyer may end up costing you less in the long run, but almost surely will add substantial stress and time/effort, and possibly an upfront cost and let's not forget that nothing is guaranteed... but depreciation will also likely hit you harder because the service records will be available for all to see when it comes time to trade or sell- hence the existence of the lawyer route with at least a "diminished value" claim. It could ultimately be a "cheaper to keep her" situation TBH... but I definitely get wanting to move on with your life. In that sense a "rip the bandaid off" approach of just trading it in and eating the loss could be an investment in your mental health. You'll get no judgment from me.

It happens to all makes and models, a select few are just not right. Seems like you got the short straw. It sucks, could have happened to any one of us... it's like the inverse of a winning lottery ticket.

How many times have you taken it in for the same issue and what state are you in?

If you can get a meeting with the GM you can tell them "I want a buy back or a new car at this point". If they refuse then it's lawyer up time. I always keep 2-3 retainers because they're very useful, so if you plan to go down that route, I recommend get a retainer now.

I'm with you, though. There are days I want to drive this car into a wall. I've spoken with acura corporate and things are not going particularly well on that front. I don't want to lead into it too much more at the moment here, but unless I get what I want out of acura by eoy there will be a class action lawsuit I'll start running down. I have enough evidence running back to 2015 to show acura/honda has known about a couple major issues that they've never taken initiative to fix. The GM at my local dealership has been actively ducking my attempts at meetings...
