I like how the valve operates on the stock exhaust, for me I would never replace the stock exhaust with a exhaust that is held together with clamps. Maybe a exhaust that has flanges bolting it together, my 50 year old me don’t see the need for a louder exhaust. I do like that the aftermarket is making parts for our car.

Clamps provide infinitely more adjustability than flanges which provide next to none, plus gaskets are not required for slip fit connections. If installed correctly, slip fits get the job done just as well if not better than flanges.

Totally get not wanting to modify, that is the great part of being an enthusiast, to each their own!

I think the valve is overrated as HELL.

I leave this car in Sport+ mode all the time. It's not a huge difference.

And doesn't the Apexi have all kinds of issues with their valve?

+1 for not giving a shit about a valve...

The valve is nice if you need to take the older folks in the car someplace . The apexi exhaust uses the stock valve . I have not heard of any issues . Can you link them ? As I been debating getting the apexi .
