Yeah it's really hard to tell from video.

Do you have a mic with a windsock? That might help to clip it to the vent and capture closer to where it occurs. You could also capture in the engine bay to really hear the wastegate and ensure that's not resonating and messing with you.
I don’t have a mic like that but can assure you it’s not the wastegate also . It’s something loose or resonating , I can hear that actual tapping of something hitting against something . I’ll try for a better video when possible .

The video doesn’t do it justice but it’s sort of both . Something is definitely loose someplace as it happens on throttle and off when going in the higher rev range . It also appears to happen more when it’s colder outside but I believe now that it’s warming up I still hear it .
I have the exact same issue (among many other types of rattles). I think that sounds like the "seatbelt rattle" from inside the door pillar. There is a video on here about how a guy stuffed some tape behind it and it fixed it. I def have the same exact very odd noise, it comes and goes, not every time I drive but seems worse on colder days, like you stated.

I saw that and already did that fix with no luck , sounds like mine is coming from a different area . Front right someplace .

Damn it. Well if you find it let me know. I was about to tear down the door last week. Sometimes I get some rattles from the front right speaker / pillar region and I could never pinpoint the rattle we have ... We will keep each other posted. Good luck.

Could always have someone ride shotgun with a cheap stethoscope to pinpoint. It's really hard to do without spare ears sometimes.

I had a friend with a camaro chasing rattles for months in his passenger door before he figured out it was hit shift knob because of a set screw, lol.

I had someone take a ride and we couldn’t exactly pin point the exact location it was coming from but I plan to try again . Hoping the next time we figure it out .

For you guys trying to find rattle’s without having to drive the car, I usually play this video and bump the volume up to try to induce some rattles without having to drive around and have a partner push things lol.

Edit:
Mainly works for interior rattles only obviously.

Reporting back after trying the sound test yesterday , no luck . It didn’t produce my rattle/buzz . It’s weird bc this seems to be coming from the front right of the dash someplace , could be someplace under it also and resonating and it’s temperature dependent. Only happens under like 50 degrees at higher rpm accelerating and decelerating. Driving me crazy as I have checked the door , a pillar , sunglasses holder and speaker and camera around that area . I also don’t really feel my screen is loose to be causing it . I also pulled the plastic under the glove box and drove with it off . I didn’t inspect inside that area yet but I keep thinking it’s coming from the front right around the a pillar area someplace in the dash .

The screen noises are usually a high pitch rattle/buzz and they come from the plastic below the screen or the plastic behind it. From your description it doesn't sound like that's the culprit.

Your description keeps making me think it could be wastegate... Just resonating through everything. Does the sound change when you're on heat vs ac?

Btw I rode shotgun while my friend drove yesterday. When driving , it sounded 100 percent like it was coming from the passenger door a pillar region. After riding passenger, mine is def coming from the middle of the front dash area, almost like directly under the phone charger. Your mileage may vary, but good to listen from different vantage points to locate ..

I have to test heat from ac but it’s not the wastegate . It’s like a loose screw or clip vibrating against something , thats what I am thinking at least . I have heard the wastegate rattle before . This is louder .

I would also move the vents around and maybe put a clothes pin on the window vents to see if that helps silence things.

I have the same noise but it’s only when it’s under 40-50 degrees out.

I’m thinking it could be a heat shield maybe? When it was 20 degrees and colder it was really loud and would get worse the longer I drove.

Now that it’s over 55 degrees I don’t hear it at all. It’s been a couple weeks with no noise.
