A-spec Tech MT here - looking for a mild boost in acceleration, e.g. 0-60 in < 7 sec, but don't want to replace the clutch. What tune is recommended?

Definitely still looking into the cvt cooler idea we had talked about and will def be doing so before tuning, thats for sure.I recently changed the fluid at 15k miles , I used amsoil cvt syn fluid ā¦ no difference in feel whatsoever but I have Piece of mind knowing Iām using something good. My 2
Previous S2k have all had amsoil and even now my corvette is using amsoil, either Iām a fan boy or Iāve trusted it because both my S2000 took track abuse on engine trans and diff and no issue , so I thought Iād try it for Cvt fluid . One thing I recommend with Cvt and if you plan to beat on it , just get a trans cooler, Iāve seen temps drop 10+ degrees from that only and Iām constantly switching from map 1 to map 3
Base tunes are decent. John Vega's (Phearable) off the shelf tune is much smoother and more potent up top.Just got my Ktuner V2 in today. I have a 2023 Aspec manual and only performance mod is Remark exhaust. Never had tuned a car myself and was so nervous but watched a lot of YouTube tutorials and it was actually super easy if you take your time and donāt rush.
Iām still waiting for phearable to email me their tune. (Got it free for buying Ktuner ) on their website
right now Iām running stage 2 Ktuner own tune. Sport mode Iām at 21 psi and normal or comfort itās at 18.5
drove about 1.5 hrs today running errands. 40% freeway, 60%. City. WOW. Throttle response is the most easily noticeable Change and I love it. Drives like a new car.
around 2500rpm and above it PULLS. Below that feels like stock. Gears 2-4, and even 5th gear pulls. I believe the dyno results when they said youāll gain 50-69 lb ft torque
definitely the best ābang for the buckā mod ever. Honestly feels like a new car like most people have said
I canāt wait to get the phearable tune and upload it to the car. Iāve heard the difference between the base Ktuner tune and phearable is pretty amazing too
Nice. I just got the Phearable 1.5 Race tune emailed to me. Canāt wait to flash the ECU after work.Base tunes are decent. John Vega's (Phearable) off the shelf tune is much smoother and more potent up top.
Would you be able to repost this in the format that gtman uses for consistency?Just got my Ktuner V2 in today. I have a 2023 Aspec manual and only performance mod is Remark exhaust. 100% this. I can't include his car in the stats the way he posted that and it doesn't help the community.Would you be able to repost this in the format that gtman uses for consistency?
It just helps other users know what to look for at a glance, otherwise people might scroll passed your post, which is already super helpful! I'm more keen on tuning my Integra after reading this.
welcome. And thanks for the heads up. I was about to just edit my original post. Thanks for adding your car.
Side note: For updates, it's better to add a new post to show more tuned miles driven, tune or mod changes etc...
Otherwise if you go in and edit your original post, some of the info is overwritten and lost. This is the way I've been doing it for years at the other forums I do these tuning studies at and it works well.
Here's how I sum it up over and my long term CivicX tuning reliability thread:Also, Keep up the good work. I was worried about reliability with a tune but read all the data you collected and it convinced me a tune was very safe
Which is my way of saying if you don't drive like a maniac and you maintain your car properly, tuning has proven to be quite safe overall. There's no doubt that a tune is the single best power-based performance mod but it does add additional stress. Reliability can be compromised if you tune for ultimate power (on stock internals) or abuse or neglect your ride. And while the jury is still out on long term 10th gen tuning reliability, proper maintenance and common sense on the road will help minimize issues.
