Those of us in Type S dealer limbo, what are you doing in the meantime?

No tracking in the states. Email update for those that reserved was a joke and didn't mean anything. We need to contact dealer to see any updates. Acura.com does show vehicles in-transit or on dealers lots not sure if CA has that feature.
You can see what cars are on dealer lots and what cars are in transit at:

https://www.acura.com/inventory-results

We donā€™t have that option in Canada. I also saw that someone was getting updates on their car emailed to them directly from Acura. Donā€™t remember which forum that was. Would be nice if we had that option.

Has anyone received their ITS within the past few weeks? My car was supposedly completed on July 3, and shouldā€™ve arrived at my dealership by July 10. Colour is PWP. The dealership has no updates, and apparently when they reach out to Acura Canada, they get no response. They donā€™t even have a VIN to give me, which seems like a common theme.

At least you guys in the states can track your car as itā€™s being completed, and you can see the status of cars coming to the dealership.
My dealer also has no vin and the car was supposed to arrive end of July so same predicament

So ridiculous for customers and even dealers to be out of the loop like this. Acura needs to do better lol.

Whatā€™s super weird is that you should have a vin already. I was told if the build started, you should be assigned a vin already. Correct me if Iā€™m wrong though lol. So either my dealer really has no info or he didnā€™t check in with the gsm. Agreed the communication between everyone needs to be much better. Itā€™s 2023 lol.

No VIN assigned after build complete. I didn't get mine till last week and received the car 5 days later.

My car was supposedly completed on July 3rd, and I still donā€™t have a VIN. I was talking to the sales rep today and apparently cars are starting to trickle in, no info regarding when ITSā€™ are supposed to show up tho.

You can't compare the Type S to the base Integra. I cannot get excited for a base Integra, it is completely pedestrian. I've seen plenty on the road since I knew I was interested in the Type S and it almost makes me second-guess myself every time. It is just the most "ok looking" car ever made...
I initially considered the Integra Aspec when they came out, but I am so happy that I waited for the Type S. One thing I couldn't get past was being required to put premium gas in that car. Now the Type S...I won't have any problem at all happily pumping premium gas into that tank!

Looking back on my assessment of the base Integra- I should add that's not fair, and I walk back those statements. It is a good-looking car, and for its purpose and price point it does everything you could expect it to.

I don't know who pissed in my cornflakes that morning lol. The base Integra/A-spec is fine.

Yes, it is a fine car. Just not incredible, which is what I want in a car now!

I had the same thought, especially coming from an ILX where I basically found whatever was cheapest, quality be damned.

But I'm currently putting 91 in my A-Spec, and it barely makes a difference on the wallet. I'm getting 7.2 L/100km (32.6 mpg) and driving 1500km (932 mi) a month, so that's an extra 10-15c per litre, or $10-16 a month. I probably lose that much money sitting in traffic in one day, lol.

Itā€™s funny that you mention that. My Tacoma TRD is a V6 and I put regular in it, but it drinks gas. So I figure that I may save a little money on gas now or at least break even. I got to keep the truck though, because they really come in handy. I never realized how much until I got one.
