Have you happened to hear any news on when Hondata might confirm Flashpro support?
Nothing yet. Other than they would notify me when ready.

Has anyone installed the Spoon rigid collar yet?
On my list of wants just not sure if I want to use the spoon brand or magic collar. Also figuring out how to do this on the driveway.

I was thinking the same thing. Keep seeing that it's kind of difficult to easily lift this vehicle at home, so I was hoping to hear feedback first before maybe just paying someone else to do it. 😆

How significant is the change in turbo noise?
Seems to be a ton. It sounds like I have an aftermarket blow-off valve now. So much fun getting on throttle and every shift is pssshh.

Not a great day, honestly.

Drove the car down to Virginia to get PPF installed; the only reason I hadn't done so already is because I felt like I'd get a rock chip on the drive down 95/495 and sure enough... about a thumbtack sized rock chip in a not-that-unnoticeable place.

I didn't take a picture, it's too depressing.

Kidding aside, once my blood pressure settled I guess it just goes to prove that I need PPF on this car, and I guess it "adds character" or whatever. Figures. That's what I get for having a scam artist as a local PPF installer. Was going to charge $3995-4995 just for full front, after giving me the runaround because templates hadn't been created yet- which I thought was odd because other folks didn't have a problem getting PPF done on their cars. I called the guy that did my Macan and said he'd do it for half that. Done deal- just had to suffer through a rock chip during the 1+hour drive down to his shop.

I don't even think that "4-5k" price included headlights.

Whatever.

Also, the "metal on metal" noise I brought up in the other thread has got to go. It can't be happening to everyone. It's full on distracting at this point, and is either getting worse or I'm getting more annoyed everytime I drive it.

Noo T_T

Is the chip on an easily replaceable plastic part (like the front bumper)?

I have a very faint chatter at low RPM, easily drowned out by tire / intake noise, etc. It also seems to go away as soon as you get on the throttle. I wouldn't go so far as to describe it as a rattle; it's rhythmic. My assumption is it's turbo related, and other discussions seem to indicate it's normal.

How loud is this noise?

It's too loud. It's like nails on a chalkboard at this point. If I drive it "normally", it's probably barely noticeable. But it's like an itch that I can't help but scratch now. If I actively attempt to recreate the noise, which I can do very easily at this point, it reverberates through the cabin. It can't be normal.

And the rock chip is on the front bumper, but it's getting PPF put over it maybe as I type this so it's just too late. And no opportunity for touch up paint either. I need the PPF done before I go on a trip Friday. Where I'll get to hear this noise for 8 hours straight.

And again for 8 hours back.

Also I've had the flu for the past 4 days.

FML.

Yeah -- that's definitely not what I've experienced. The noise I'm used to doesn't reverberate at all. It's there when you're barely on throttle (sub 20%, no boost) below ~2250 rpm. I believe it's related to the wastegate. If you have something that loud, I'd get it checked out.

That sucks re: chip. Damn.

The rock chip sucks!!! Full front PPF should be $1900-$2100. It definitely sounds like you were getting ripped off. Key word is were. I’m debating on the PPF on mine. We have it on our MDX and my husband absolutely hates it. Why? Because he can’t run it through a car wash. I have to drive I-35 once a week into the office and that’s a shitshow, much like I-95. I can see the eyes rolling now as soon as I mention PPF again.

Sounds similar, but this one only happens between about 2700-4000 rpm. Same story though, very light throttle, no boost- but because it's happening at higher rpms it has a tendency to resonate and become very distracting. Especially during today's drive, where god forbid I downshifted or went faster than 60mph, it felt like I was living in that ~20% throttle range and it started to drive me nuts.

Man, now I wish I would've looked at Spoon harder than Sprint race version. I thought you already had the Sprint as well, right? I can't remember anything anymore.
