Thanks for that. I noticed there's a material variance between peak power on the FL5 and DE5 tuned on 91 octane. Can you provide an explanation for the delta?
Also interested to understand why the delta of the 91octane tuned FL5 is different than the Type S? Even though they have different engine codes I was under the impression that they were mechanically identical?

As far as I know they are identical. At least from a part number perspective. I posted the below on the other forum in July with respect to my take on why the ITS made more power on the dyno than the FL5 in Savagegeese's test at King Motorsports:

All 38 components of the turbocharger and supporting hardware are identical with the exception of turbo joint pipe resonator which is the black oblong shaped part stamped Type S/Type R. The usual power adding suspects are identical: camshafts, cylinder head, pistons, connecting rods, and fuel system. I'm inclined to believe the power difference is largely from tuning and NOT hardware. I realize the exhaust is also different but I believe that to be immaterial from a performance standpoint. The ECU calibration on the ITS is likely running more ignition timing than the CTR which is why it appears to make more power on less boost. I'm certain we'll learn more as time goes on.

Hondata confirmed as much and more weeks later on IG (see below). I get the dyno results for the DE5 and FL5 were not performed for the purposes of internal validity (i.e., controlled test), but once tuned the numbers should be quite similar and they're not.

Great info! Interesting to see that stuff. :thumbsup:

I wonder if this means some of the Type S variables (leaner AFR, timing, torque limits) aren't being carried over to the FL5 custom tunes? Or perhaps the exhaust difference in the Type S is actually more impactful than initially thought?

This is off topic but I noticed you did a rear seat ac mod ? Possible to share your experience/ link to any videos?
It's pretty straight forward. Got the kit from MIkstore. I posted everything in the rear ac thread.

Update. She back and banging. Probably delayed because of the computer relearning.

Finally had a chance to flash. First drive the pops n bangs seem muted on the 93 tune. Will update if anything changes.
Based on seat of the pants feel, is it significantly faster?

Haven't opened it up much. It's been raining and wet. Big thing is I disabled the rear O2. I need to look and see what other settings could be beneficial. Kinda holding out for D-Robs tune.
