My background: I owned an Integra Type R about 25 years ago (champ white). I sold a 2019 RAV4 to help pay for the ITS. I saw my ITS about a week ago on a semi local dealer website. I thought it was a Tiger Eye color. Emailed a sales manager back and forth. It turned out to be a Liquid Silver used car. Yes, used. I drove it last Saturday after talking numbers. In order to get under Connecticut's tax increase (under $50k 6.35%, over is 7.75%) for a transaction over $50k he discounted to to $49,396. It turned out they bought it from someone who said they didn't want to pay so much a month. By purchasing it as a used car, I got the CPO warranty too. This past Monday I brought my RAV4 to have them give a number for trade, $24.2k. KBB said $24.8. But CarMax said $25k. Then Carvana said on line $25.6k. That was better. Then I went by where I bought the RAV. They said $26,540. Deal. I hit my Credit Union and got a check for the bulk of the cost, and I'd use a credit card to cover the rest. Tuesday I went back with the check and credit card and my old plates. I was back on the road by 3:00 PM. Out The Door was $53,345 (tax, reg, doc fees) for a Certified Pre-owned 2024 Integra Type S.

My "other car" is a BMW 1M Coupe.

Well dam that's wassup ...ok I'll add to this ...my first stick shift car was an RSX desert silver metallic. I modded the hell out of that car . Was on clubrsx I sleeved it ported polished k24 k20 top full race turbo je pistons and eagle rods . I was roughly 500hp . Anyhow that was my favorite car . So when they announced this car now being 37 and I was like I gotta have this . One my clients was a manager at Acura so they said they will hook me up 2k over vs 15k over . Here in CA nobody is going less then 9k over so I bit. Forgot to even ask color . I was game for any color as long as it was black or red interior . Pulled up to dealership it was liquid silver metallic coming off the truck only 3 miles . 12k down and that car was mine. The best thing was wife was all about it and said go get it . She love the car and loves it for me . Love driving this to work makes it so much fun . I won't mod it as much but I'll do little things

Somewhat new to this forum but not new to Honda/Acura . My first Honda ever was given to me by grandfather when I was young to borrow until I saved enough for a new car . After about 3yrs I finally had enough and financed myself a brand new ep3 manual civic si. While I didn’t like the look of it , I loved everything about it. I made it my goal to eventually get a S2000 and had one for over 3yrs . 20 vehicles later and a baby and I finally got myself something I can daily. I was in no rush and knew I wanted the new type r or type s . Deals could not be had but I was able to get the type s I wanted and will have to wait until after winter to drive it but I’m excited to do some minor upgrades while I wait .

  7. 24' ITS - For now will try to keep it stock until the warranty runs out

My ITS History
I was looking for a FL5 but couldn't find one at MSRP.
After the DE5 was released decided to get into the waitlist of some dealers willing to sell at MSRP. Two weeks later got a call that they got an additional vehicle that wasn't expected and wasn't bound to anyone on the waitlist. I was the only one willing to buy it.
Long story short, did a 14-hour round trip to get it and here I am.
I was told that going back to compact from a pickup was going to be challenging. I'm still adjusting for the limited cargo space, lower tire/wheel gap, and reduced clearance.

This car gets a LOT of attention out there. Almost every day someone says "Nice car".

I get a comment almost every day since Monday about my car being racing/sporty/nice. I wonder what week two will bring. :)

DE5 Integra Type S
This car gets a lot of love. Some people don’t notice it but those that do so far everyone has said positive things, or thumbs up etc..
I have had mine now about a month.
I have owned a lot of cars and bikes not all sports cars ( it’s sad I have aa spreadsheet, lol car a.d.d.) but some of my more notable ones have been a Honda Prelude, Lancer Ralliart, Scion FRS, Subaru BRZ, Mitsubishi EvoX, 5th Gen Camaro, FK8 CTR and now the ITS which I can easily say has been my favorite. I wouldn’t mind picking up an old school Prelude again or an Integra or even another FRS/BRZ as a track toy to complement the ITS.

Agree about the car getting lots of love. I was parked at a local supermarket and someone rolled down his window and yelled “Nice car man”. Another time I ate lunch at a local restaurant and the waiter went table to table and asked who the ITS belonged to. He got to my table and he gave lots of compliments about the car. Pretty fun getting those compliments!

Evan here,

First real modified car was my 07 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. Heavily modified street car, turbo kit, interior redone in black leather/alcantara, projector retrofit headlights, 330whp @ 11psi, stock motor/clutch.

Regrettably sold it, picked up a Focus ST, didn't last long in that at all, and picked up a 2018 CTR. Light bolt ons and a D-Rob tune put it at like 370whp/385wtq on 18x9.5 Rays 57Ds. Rocked that until a month ago a lady ran a red at 45mph and totaled it.

I was in line for a Boost Blue FL5, and they came down to 5k over MSRP, but honestly the ITS in TEP just was screaming my name and I decided to try it out. So far it's just got the roof wrapped black and the overland design alcantara center console.

I like bringing up my car history as I feel like it gives me loads of context, and I've had a good variety of interesting cars in over 20 years. Hopefully anyone who's been offended that I've owned expensive cars yet choose to "slum it up" and drive an Integra has already put me on their ignore list... you know who you are. :nixon:

I loved all of these cars in their own right, but this Integra, the 911, Macan GTS, and SR20 240 are my favorites.

The Type S could have a Porsche badge on it and I wouldn't bat an eye. The driving dynamics are absolutely S tier. I got rid of my 718 because the Integra exists... I was considering buying the Integra to use as a daily and then realized that it could just be a do-it-all car and serve as my "fun/weekender" at the same time, and it's been fulfilling that role well enough I don't miss the Porsches.

That said I will add a dedicated sports car at some point. Might be a Porsche, M2 CS, McLaren- might be a 2 seater EV. Will cross that bridge when I get there.

Wow, high complements given your extensive ownership. Makes it even harder to wait for mine. Fingers crossed, this Saturday I'll be posting some pictures of it.

On my side, I'm still very much a youngin working my way up the car ownership totem pole. I'm still at the point where a 2-door toy is not financially viable and I hung up my leathers and helmet when my child was born. My Si, while still running great, is getting to the point it will start to understandably need replacements for wear and tear part so I started looking for a 4-door car that does Costco runs and satiates my addiction to speed while not draining the wallet with future maintenance. In that regard Honda has earned my respect over the last two cars which have effectively transported me for the past 23 years on a shoestring budget, basically oil changes and filters + a few consumables. They'll basically have my business until they do me wrong.

The FL5 was originally my go to but by the time I considered it, it had years of reservations before I could even get one. Then the Type S came out I was smitten, felt lucky about not getting the FL5 and knew I had to have one. Lurked here for the longest time and joined when I got assigned my VIN#.

It'll be stored for the winter pretty much immediately after I get it so I intend to "shorten" the winter wait with those of you here.

My first car was a $1000 1978 Honda Accord. Loved that car. Got my first ticket doing 85 (maxed out) in a 55 testing out my newly installed ball joints. Thought I was going to jail at 17 years old but the cop was cool.

Since then I've owned:

1994 Civic CX
1994 Civic Si
1993 JDM Prelude (while living in the UK)
2002 WRX
2004 WRX STi
1998 Tacoma Prerunner with TRD Supercharger
2013 Mazdaspeed 3
2018 STi
2003 V8 4Runner
and now a ITS.

It's great to back in a Honda. The ITS is the best experience I've had in a car (the 2004 STi is a close second- there was nothing like it at the time).

I love that we have this fantastic community available. I've learned a ton from you guys.

I test drove the SE-R Spec V of the previous gen and it was a fun car. At the time chose an '03 Maxima 6-speed instead which were very rare with a manual. Never seen one of this gen modded like this looks awesome. Are those 350Z wheels?

2024 Acura Integra Type S
There's more cars in my history than I care to admit, but here's the highlights:
  • First car: 1992 Honda Accord - skinny tires, low to the ground, 4-speed auto. Had this car through the "Fast and Furious" era, but I never modified it. I started to get interested in cars though while I had it.
  • 2008 VW GTI - my first enthusiast-oriented car. Really got into cars here. Dual clutch transmission was novel back then and really cool. I still miss the exhaust "burps/farts" between shifts. Learned a ton by reading and participating in forums and I've made it a point to join and participate in forums for all of my cars since. So much good info and wisdom to be gained and shared!
  • 2009 Subaru WRX Sedan - my first manual. Loved shifting my own gears, though the rev hang was especially bad for the 1-2 shift. Car was quite ugly though and it actually ate away at me when I'd look at it.
  • 2010 VW GTI - Traded in the WRX for a manual GTI. One of my favorite cars I ever had.
  • 2011 BMW 335i xDrive sedan - I really miss the sound from the inline-6 and the exhaust! Despite this car needing the most repairs of any I've had and having every common issue discussed on BMW forums (some taken care of under warranty), it's still one of my favorites I ever had.
  • 2021 Acura TLX SH-AWD - Big ol' boat compared to the GTI it replaced. Most comfortable car I've ever had and surprisingly capable considering its weight. If I had to pick any car I've ever had and take it on a cross-country road trip, this TLX would be it.
And now, of course: 2024 Acura Integra Type S - I was so set on keeping the TLX until my lease ended. I figured I'd put my name on a couple wait lists for the ITS and based on estimates the dealers gave me, an ITS would come in around the end of my lease. I got a call a LOT sooner than expected though as no one ahead of me on one of the lists I put my name on wanted the color combo for a surprise allocation that a dealer was getting from Acura. I wasn't too picky on color as I thought they all looked really good, so I decided to seize the opportunity to get the ITS!

I was born in South East Asia so if you know the tax rate for cars there, you really could not afford exotic cars unless you are a billionaires.... But my Dad and I were big fans of Honda cars. When I was a kid I remembered our family owning several Honda Accords and Civics.

I moved to Australia as a teenager and there I drove a 1990 BMW 318 IS and then 1993 Honda Prelude VTEC.

When I came to the US, here's the some of the cars I drove:

- 2005 Audi S4
- 2006 Audi S4
- 2009 Nissan Maxima
- 2012 VW Passat

And here are the cars that we have now:
- 2019 Subaru WRX
- 2022 Hyndai Tuscon (work car)
- 2023 Honda Civic Touring
- 2024 ITS

Looking for more fun manual cars in the near future before they go all electric.
