I guess somebody's gotta do it?

To some this may come across as hating, but seriously- why? How are you using all this extra power?

It just seems to contradict the spirit of what this car is all about, but to each their own. It is an impressive engine so it's no real surprise, and I guess it's cool to be the first to do it on this platform. But until someone gives me a compelling reason I should want 500whp out of my Integra Type S, I'm going to continue to ask these types of questions.

I don't know if the stock components can reliably hold this much power. Keeping fingers crossed.

Torque steering was an issue but Drob was able to reduce it thru the tune. Its a rocket on rails now

@Trajectory009 do you have a Draggy? Interested in 60-130 times.

Will you need an in-tank pump to run ethanol?

Nice numbers, I'm sure it's fun!

No draggie yet. Using the PRL flex fuel analyzer to get e30 mix along with the IMW tune. Should be fun

Nice numbers, congrats! What fuel system are you using?
Thanks. I’m running Hondata Fuel Kit with HPFP, LPFP and injectors.

Should be fine with the IMW tune.

Tired argument you can apply to any platform. Do you go on Corvette or Porsche Forums and tell guys adding power the same thing?
It's not an argument. It's a question. That notably still has gone unanswered. I'll spell it out for you- the question is very quite simply WHY?

But I don't like your tone. So sure. If you want an "argument", you shall have one. This football game is TERRIBLE anyway and this sounds more fun at this point. I literally have nothing better to do! It's your lucky day.

Speaking of tired and irrelevant, I could care less about Corvettes, don't own one and never will. We're not on a Corvette forum, so we're not talking about Corvettes. But ironically if we were, I don't think I'd say anything because at least a Corvette seems like a proper platform for big power. So your whole "same can apply for any platform"- I strongly disagree.

But Porsche forums, great example. Thanks for bringing that up, because as @VarmintCong knows, I've spent quite a decent amount of time on Porsche forums. People don't really add power like this to Porsches... of course, except for the Turbo/Turbo S- those cars are specifically designed to fulfill bragging rights for super rich guys with ~$250k+ lying around (to still get embarrassed by Teslas...). I'll also add that anyone with a 996 or 997 Turbo, that's a perfect example of the type of car I'd fully expect someone to try to get big power out of. So that would make sense to me.

But for your typical Porsche that doesn't have a swirly Turbo logo on the back? Sure there's plenty of folks who want to add a little more sound or a skosh more power- but the cool thing about Porsches is they're pretty well engineered from the factory, with a "just right" amount of power for what the cars are designed to achieve- which for argument's sake let's just say is "balance". Even with the advent of the 991.2 and turbos being added to "non-Turbo" 911s... or even the turbo 4 718s... it's just not that common for people to try to shoot for big power out of those cars- even though it is pretty trivial to do so.

I happen to feel the same about the ITS/CTR. There's just a philosophical difference between someone who buys a 911 Turbo and someone who buys a 911 GT3 for the same money (probably more actually for the Turbo S...). Guess which side I fall on? Here I am thinking there's a similar ethos with this car, the ITS- it's meant to be driven around corners. Having to "tune out" torque steer seems counterintuitive to that.

Which is kind of my point. There are better platforms out there if all you want to do is go fast in a straight line. A Mustang or even a used ZL1 or any number of other cars that might be able to achieve lower than a 2 second 60' without breaking things could easily be had for around the same as an ITS, and have a ridiculously higher ceiling if all you want to do is brag about 60-130 times. Which I won't even go into the fact that you geniuses have to "go to Mexico" to even measure that on the street anyway...:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Back on topic, I still have yet for someone to articulate how adding what, 50-75% more power actually adds to the experience of owning this particular car. Look at it as someone sincerely wondering if they should look into doing the same for their car, rather than getting ultra defensive because you don't have a good answer for it. It's a legitimate question. If "fun" is your answer, that's fine... just know that some will disagree. But if you have some actual compelling evidence or anecdotes to share why everyone should do this if they're able? I'm all ears.

Although this wasn’t directed at me I am happy to answer “my why”. I really enjoy the platform and the ITS is great out of the box but I wanted more. And yes, getting the car to manage the 50-75% power increase requires things like the proper tune as well as other mods. I have a WB Hellcat and the idea that this car can not only hang on the straight aways but also power into and out of turns- something the HC cannot do- is exciting to think about and absolutely exhilarating to experience behind the alcantara steering wheel. So in a single word- I suppose you nailed it… I do it for FUN and for around $65k after the mods, this is ALOT of fun for the $$$
