Dealers have been popping up on Reddit with several cars at MSRPt

I also got my ITS from Bay Shore and asked about it, and they said no. What was your pre-payment penalty like? I just got the email from Ally Auto and signed in to see if there were any bogus fees. It seems that a complete payout would cost about $40 to pay off my $6000 loan, supposedly to factor in any accrued interest.
He said the prepayment penalty was 3k and if I went with another lender it would be a 3k markup so I said ok Iā€™ll just refinance after everything is settled.

This is something I need to learn more about and understand.
Is the pre-payment regarding sending extra payments directly to the principle and avoiding interest after or beyond your regularly monthly payment?
I'm wondering if I can get the loan, make my payment and then each month send an additional 1k to the principle to help pay it off faster or is that something you can't do with a car loan?
I haven't had a car loan in over 25 years.

My specific question to him was refinancing the loan. When you refinance your new lender will pay off the original loan so you could get hit with a penalty. I think when you finance with Acura the dealership gets a kickback but you have to have it for X amount of time for them to get it, so if you refinance early they wonā€™t get that money. So I asked where in my paperwork does it say I agree to pay this 3k because thereā€™s no prepayment penalty on the contract. And thatā€™s where the BS excuse came from

That's bogus! Any normal car loan with a bank should not have any pre-payment penalty. I've financed through Kia, Honda and VW and never had this penalty either. seems very strange.

I see, ok thanks for the clarification.

On Saturday I committed to a PRP Type S at Mungenast in St Louis. Easy, peezy and selling at MSRP without add-ons. They are even doing the window tint and protective film for cheaper than I can get it locally. They ā€œsoldā€ me an inbound mid-March car with no deposit, just a hand shake.

Highly recommend this dealership.
Awesome man! They are a great dealership group around here for sure. So far youā€™re the first PRP in our area! I reached out to another on here who has a white one just the other day & weā€™re trying to find a local blue owner that might be interested as well for meets, cruises, & to get all the colors in a group photo if youā€™re in. šŸ˜Ž

Confirming that I bought mine at Bridgewater Acura in NJ at MSRP yesterday. Ask for Tina when you call, she was great to work with. Got everything done online ahead of time and was out of the dealership in under an hour.

I wanted to update the list of dealers selling at MSRP.
I found a few in CT selling at and under MSRP.

Acura of Stamford has 4 or 5 on the lot as they are a huge dealership in terms of volume, they offered to beat any deal I got, I had a deal for $250 under MSRP and they beat it by around $1k.

Also, Executive Acura in North Haven also was willing to sell at under MSRP they have a liquid carbon with 144 miles on it, no mark up.
Both dealers sell at or under MSRP.
Also, Peabody and Wappinger falls will sell to you at or under MSRP so if you are in NJ, NY, CT, or MA, you have options to get the car you want at or under MSRP.

I bought an Apex Blue with splash guards, door visors, and locking lug nuts, for 58, 859.54 out the door, all fee's tax, reg, etc.. total.
I brought my own financing so for me that was it, no gap or other stuff, I put 17k down.

Thanks I updated. Most of these dealerships had ADM, wonder if they haven't been moving them because of it.

Yes, Berlin was on and off first no adm's then they went to 5k and I think they are back to MSRP not sure, but yes they aren't selling them.

The Stamford dealer sells at MSRP and is the largest volume dealer around here, so they had 5 on their lot with two on the way in, they are a good place to shop, Peabody and Wappinger was simply ready to deal, they didn't have a lot of cars, but were willing to sell at MSRP.

And Executive will sell at MSRP but they too are slow to get cars in, they have one now with 144 miles on it and they ordered two lunar silvers to come in next.

Happy to help.

I bought mine at Acura in Peabody in the first week of February. Great dealer. I pretty much bought the car over the phone and via emails. MSRP no ā€œrequiredā€ accessories. When I went there to sign and drive the whole process was essentially about 2 hours.

There are almost 300 ITS available on cars.com right now. Iā€™d say itā€™s pretty safe to assume MSRP and below now.

If there is a dealer still charging markup just go somewhere else.
