In Android Auto mode phones with split view you get a circular # showing how many new text messages you have. Then you can just click on the number to access said messages.

Speed, speed limit, compass, and directions if enable I believe. I just have the first 3 up.

Strange. Android Auto will read them out to me with voice text reply capability.

Siri will do the same, she's just not very good at it; I'd rather be reading the texts myself.

Does anyone else just never look at the HUD? I have it on but never focus on it, instead just glance at the dash. The collision warnings are useful though, in the odd time I have one that isn't caused by braking late.
