What were they installing? This looks to be the stock badge that would come on the car from the factory if I'm not mistaken.

It's probably the reflection, but it's the black emblem.

The new badge was supposed to distract you from the scratches not the other way around!

That’s exactly why I prefer doing work myself (unless recall). My way of thinking is: Nobody is going to care more about my car than me.

That’s also why I never let the delearship wash my car. I even put multiple NO WASH signs in addition to telling the service advisor.

oh gotcha.

Geez, what a hackjob. I'd be livid too. What did the dealer say?
Nothing yet, the install was 2 months ago probably, can’t prove shit. I know it ain’t me.

I typically do the no wash-sign but don't do the seat covers because I always have had leather interior but that's not a bad idea with the alcantara!

What kind of seat cover do you have for this?

Those look so prominent though, I feel like you would've noticed sooner than that.... maybe it was some jackhole trying to steal your badge???
there's no way you wouldn't notice those the day of install. I'm leaning towards someone trying to steal it as well...
The car is always so dirty though; but like I said can't prove it.
Nothing a little compound and polish can’t buff out
The detailer says she'll try and wet sand it.

It is what it is, I live in a shit hole town in a shit hole country...

Call me OCD but I run mine through a touchless car wash 2 or 3 times a week and dry it off by hand. I see just about every scratch and nick when I dry it.. having this beauty dirty would kill me.
