My Two Issues

  1. The well-known 1 -> 2 shifting performance at high RPM. Something gets in the way that doesn't allow for a quick shift. This issue was present on my old FA5 and FG2. I was able to fix it with a clutch pedal adjustment. However, it seems that this trick alone won't work on the DE5.
  2. The gas pedal's reduced response makes heel-and-toe downshifting unpleasant. It doesn't react like the cars in the past. Damn you, EPA. Luckily, the car's rev match is pretty good. Maybe tuning will take care of that.
In general, I'm very happy with the car. I don't care about the rattles and noises it makes, or the lack of features. All I wanted was a super sport compact, that looks really good and with the potential to last a long time. This car fits those requirements perfectly.

I don't like the rev hang on these cars. Apparently this is common and needs a tune to fix which I won't be doing until my warranty is up.

I've driven other manuals before and never had to deal with this so it's kind of annoying. I work around it now by shifting earlier than I normally would or letting it bang against the limiter (usually opt for the former).

Oh yes, everyone look- someone has contributed to a discussion that was quite literally requested from the topic. Take pictures everyone- you'll never witness this rare sight ever again!

Imagine being this big of a fucking idiot. I've never seen someone own themselves so consistently as you trying to argue with people on this message board.
You have some deep, deep issues. I hope you get the help you need.

ah yes, i have such deep issues for having a conversation on a message board. quick someone call the paddy wagon to come take me away.

Nah, I'm done with this guy...
now where have i heard that before

I'm all for poking at people but this guy's exhibiting some serious mental instability

It's all in good fun until someone gets hurt. Or hurts themselves.
LOL literal copium. But yeah it's all good until someone breathes the slightest benign criticism of this car, which sends you into an emotional tailspin.

I was fine when we were ignoring each other, but if you wanna continue with your stupid babyish nonsense then i'm all for it seeing as all you do is embarrass yourself.

If I would have had a list that long of things I disliked about this car, I would have found a different car to buy.
yeah, I’m not sure why the rear vents are such a huge thing for most , we are not driving a Tahoe. How did we ever manage to drive with no cameras..lol

Ok, sure bud. Because routinely writing 500 word essays about all the things that make you cry about the $50k car you purchased is a totally healthy headspace. God, I can't imagine living with that kind of negativity.

Also you are incomprehensibly stupid. I wouldn't be surprised if you're in the double-digit IQ range, and it's embarrassing to admit I communicate with people like that. It's tough to want to continue to interact with someone who breaks down in a frothy rage anytime they're presented with irrefutable evidence when they're definitively wrong.

Last thing I need in my life is some psycho stalking me IRL, or the memory of some lunatic weighing on my conscience when you finally commit seppuku for lack of USB slots in the rear.

Go make some friends, talk this out. Come back when you're in a better place.

oh that's hilarious coming from the unstable retard that routinely writes 500 word essays lecturing us about how we aren't the target demographic of the car and how we just don't understand driving dynamics , all because your pussy gets sore whenever someone mildly criticizes any microscopic facet of the car. i actually went through that thread on the civicxi forums trying to figure out which post got you so fucking triggered and honestly to no one's surprise there isn't really anything there other than more benign criticism over how the cars looks, and that's all it takes for an emotionally incontinent dumbass to come unhinged.

but yeah, blah blah blah, your posts are getting increasingly less interesting, it's just the same projection over and over where you try to insult me but you're clearly just describing yourself.

the funniest thing about all of this is how your avenue of attack was to literally complain about a posted discussion on a message board- yeah that's real fucking brilliant lmao. what's next- you gonna call up your city and complain that there's tire marks on the road? i understand you're limited by a severe cognitive impairment, but this is the best you can do?

Keep SEETHING bro.

hmmm my new annoyance seems to be this thread direction...
well at least @Integra23 has been entertained lol

look all i did was post a contribution to the topic; i didn't quote anybody or mention anybody's name, so don't blame me for this. i was happy to ignore him but i guess he's gonna keep following me around, going through my post history and shit like a psycho, so he can keep bothering me every time i post on these boards.

Not huge for me, but it would've been nice. It'd cool the kids down in the back just a hair faster vs the under seat vents.

It's less of a problem for my forward facing child as it is for my rear facing. But those are all temporary grievances if you can even call it that - more just "annoyances" like the thread title since the LOWER trim has it.
