I'm in the process of installing kit C and was wondering if the mirror folding feature only activates when both sides are completed. I've only finished the driver side for now and would love to test everything before tackling the passenger side. Everything else seems to be working perfectly, except for the mirror folding.

Once you install the replacement door switch module and auto folding module it defaults to auto. Settings can be changed in the headunit to enable or disable auto folding

Just to clarify, when you say "door switch," are you referring to the window switch and mirror switch, plus an additional button for the folding mirrors? That's the setup I just installed, and I wanted to check if all the wiring is good by toggling that button to see if my single folding mirror operates. Does everything start working as soon as one side is installed, or do both sides need to be in place? Coming from a VW background, I was used to mostly coding without much wiring involved. Thanks for your help!

Yes, I meant the replacement mirror control on driver side and replacement window switch on passenger side. I installed all pieces and never tried a partial. Both components contain extra communication chipsets. I would install both sides and see if the folding mirror button functions

You can do partial testing. I did to make sure I did the wiring correct and making sure the mirrors are folding correctly before I go any further. You don't have to disassemble the stock one to test, just unplug the stock and plug in the folding one.

I am still trying to track down the folding issue, and I've taken a look at the window switch to check for the folding chip. It does have a chip, but it looks a bit different from what I found online. Has anyone encountered something like this before? Thanks for your help!

Is this the switch module from the the kit or the original with the car?

The switch in the picture above is from the kit, and I just finished installing the passenger side. Everything is working great, so it looks like both sides need to be in for the mirrors to function. What a relief!
Now I just have the puddle lights and illuminated door sills left to install. Exciting!

something new after installing the new window switches. every single time I lock my car, it tries to roll up the windows even if they're already up.

another thing that started happening is that when I try to use the auto roll up window feature, it gets to the top and then rolls all the way back down. I can't interrupt this action either.

Was just looking at Mikstore for the C/F kit and looks like they changed up their folding mirror kits to cheap kits without CAN integration and the window switch assembly panel. Wiring connects from driver side to passenger side now and they just provide the mirror switch with folding button 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Oh well, if I was planning to do this should've bought the kit sooner.

That's not true. Kit C includes the wire that connects both sides but is not needed with our cars. Kit F excludes this extra wire.

to relearn the auto-up function on your Honda or Acura window switch, simply open the window completely, then press and hold the window switch in the "up" position for a few seconds after it closes all the way. This will help the system learn the right travel distance for the automatic feature to work smoothly
