Yeah the pano roof is probably too much, but they added one where one didn't exist in the HRV, so it shows they can do the engineering if they want to. The rest already exists and is basically "free". A front fascia update is almost expected of a MMR, basically why they're called facelifts.Very optimistic. You have to realize that Acura released the ADX, but before that they gave insanely subpar MMCs to that TLX and even worse for the RDX, which is suppose to be one of their best sellers.
With how little they said, it should get the Civic's newer front fascia. Maybe smoked taillights like the Civic, no more fog lights, longer chin, and urban gray color. Interior, my guess is B&O audio, Google built-in (glorified software update), and honestly that it's.
The niceties in the ADX like pano-sunroof isn't even offered in the Accord. No rear seat vents, I doubt there's ventilated seats too. The bare minimum is adding A-spec features to the Integra Type S. For the CVT, I'd actually want the push button shifter instead of the knob because it looks more premium from the Civic's shifter (CVT).
Financially, they probably think they're going to steal Integra buyers to the ADX, so logically I don't think they'll be investing into the Integra.
I'm expecting no exterior changes to the Type S also because they've already shown the HRC Integra parts and the new splitter wouldn't fit if the front fascia changed. My opinion only based on data points I have read; I doubt the refresh for the ITS would be substantial.
The model is a very low production run, compared to the standard Integra, and they don't share much sheet metal to the standard Integra.
Haha, $75k is the starting point I had in my head, too.Interesting stuff, but zero tangible details, especially pertinent to the Type S.
The HRC stuff is still worth getting excited about... but I deeply wonder how the actual execution will go. I wouldn't trust an Acura dealer to install these parts, but it's an interesting thought if they did it sort of like how BMW does with Dinan; dealer-installed and under warranty performance parts. And if they made them factory options, what "factory" would they come out of? I also wouldn't trust the Ohio plant to pull this off either... unless they repurposed the PMC factory for it. THAT could be an option...
Of course cost would then be a huge factor. I still feel smug that I very accurately predicted the cost of the Type S before it was revealed on this very board 2 years ago... so my attempt with the HRC car if they put the whole car into production as it sits at or near prototype form- I'd put it around $75k. Probably something silly like $75,595. I don't see them doing a piecemeal scenario where buyers could pick or choose what specific mods they want, and it would be a very limited run of colors, possibly just one like they do with the PMC editions. My prediction is it would be a what-you-see-is-what-you-get limited run car that would probably still be tough to get without a markup (but the car market is cooling off rapidly so maybe that's not so much an issue, dependent on timing).
They'd also probably make most of the parts available to buy a la carte but you're on your own with the install. I don't see them making most of the aesthetic parts available, like the slick carbon rear seat area or possibly even the bumper, hood, canards, etc.- but I could be wrong there. If they're manufacturing them separately for the HRC production car then sure they could probably spin off a few extra for individual sale... plus as we already know the wheels and exhaust are Titan7 and Borla OEM respectively...
Cool stuff, I'm curious to see how it plays out. I'm on the fence now though. I think for $75k I'd just spring up to an M3 or CT4V TBH. I'd at least have to consider it.
I definitely see the appeal. But I've been looking at the G80 recently anyway.Haha, $75k is the starting point I had in my head, too.
It's a lot for a F/F and certainly not a perf / $ car by any stretch... but the "special factor", will be a legitimate pull, especially if it's assembled by PMC. (And I think the PMC part is key here, both because I'd want the special paint job, etc. at that point and because of the, ahem, "assembly inconsistencies" we've seen on the normal models.) I hope they produce it. I'd seriously consider one -- and I mean that -- even though, for me, it would mean abandoning any plans of a RWD car in the relatively near future. It would just be a cool car to have in the stable.
those black CTR seats or these HRC would be incredible. The stock seats in the integra are my biggest complaint (by far). Would also be fun do do buckets in the rear (M5 CS style)ā¦ although I probably wouldnāt follow through on that one haha. They look nice, but I donāt see the point.

A little more "plug and play" for a seat swap would be necessary for me. I'm right there with you on the seats. I don't have any "issues" with them per se, but they are severely lacking from an "engagement" perspective and just simply inadequate for routine track use.those black CTR seats or these HRC would be incredible. yeah Iām not interested in blazing trails and coming up with new hardware solutions either. I appreciate the work others do but I donāt think thereās as shop near me that would be helpful either.A little more "plug and play" for a seat swap would be necessary for me. ā¦ā¦The Recaros in the HRC are a way overkill, but very cool- (and expensive-) looking.
