Very optimistic. You have to realize that Acura released the ADX, but before that they gave insanely subpar MMCs to that TLX and even worse for the RDX, which is suppose to be one of their best sellers.

With how little they said, it should get the Civic's newer front fascia. Maybe smoked taillights like the Civic, no more fog lights, longer chin, and urban gray color. Interior, my guess is B&O audio, Google built-in (glorified software update), and honestly that it's.

The niceties in the ADX like pano-sunroof isn't even offered in the Accord. No rear seat vents, I doubt there's ventilated seats too. The bare minimum is adding A-spec features to the Integra Type S. For the CVT, I'd actually want the push button shifter instead of the knob because it looks more premium from the Civic's shifter (CVT).

Financially, they probably think they're going to steal Integra buyers to the ADX, so logically I don't think they'll be investing into the Integra.
Yeah the pano roof is probably too much, but they added one where one didn't exist in the HRV, so it shows they can do the engineering if they want to. The rest already exists and is basically "free". A front fascia update is almost expected of a MMR, basically why they're called facelifts.

I can be completely wrong but specific to the CTR/ITS, whatever changes are made, it's with the intention of jacking up the price as much as possible while keeping the build cost relatively the same.

Why else would they update something that is already selling out no problem. Alternatively If they do something just to avoid criticism of going 3 model years with no change, it'll be superficial and not worth a second look.

My opinion only based on data points I have read; I doubt the refresh for the ITS would be substantial.

The model is a very low production run, compared to the standard Integra, and they don't share much sheet metal to the standard Integra.

Most likely the facelift for ITS would be it will adopt USB-C fully like the CTR Black edition. Very likely to have rear seat air vents, controls for front driver memory seats and passenger seat controls (this is something Jon Rivers has said they have received feedback on). They may improve the software of the Infotainment, but I doubt it will have CTR Log R functions, they have been clear this is a CTR only item.

What I believe the big ITS change will be is the launch and rollout of the HRC parts available as dealership add-ons with purchase. This augments and differentiates the accessory catalog for the ITS.

Very likely CTR will be done by March 2026, ITS most likely will run a year extra (since NAM only) and to capture additional sales from those who didn't get the CTR, but that will be it.
If you have an ITS right now, you will probably be able to retrofit what the refresh brings.

I'm expecting no exterior changes to the Type S also because they've already shown the HRC Integra parts and the new splitter wouldn't fit if the front fascia changed.

According to Jonathan Rivers, theyā€™re still asking customers about whether they should offer the parts in pieces or make a limited run of the whole HRC car. Iā€™d say the easier practical solution would be the latter because they would need to paint hoods, front bumpers, and wings AT LEAST if they piece-milled it. They could offer a base HRC model, and have buyers choose if they want the extreme options or not (they did that with air con for the ITR IIRC).

Hereā€™s the most recent video on the HRC Prototype with Jonathan giving us a walk around. He asks the questions about selling the package in parts, or making a limited production of the car at the end. Either way, weā€™re in for a surprise probably this summer.

Interesting stuff, but zero tangible details, especially pertinent to the Type S.

The HRC stuff is still worth getting excited about... but I deeply wonder how the actual execution will go. I wouldn't trust an Acura dealer to install these parts, but it's an interesting thought if they did it sort of like how BMW does with Dinan; dealer-installed and under warranty performance parts. And if they made them factory options, what "factory" would they come out of? I also wouldn't trust the Ohio plant to pull this off either... unless they repurposed the PMC factory for it. THAT could be an option...

Of course cost would then be a huge factor. I still feel smug that I very accurately predicted the cost of the Type S before it was revealed on this very board 2 years ago... so my attempt with the HRC car if they put the whole car into production as it sits at or near prototype form- I'd put it around $75k. Probably something silly like $75,595. I don't see them doing a piecemeal scenario where buyers could pick or choose what specific mods they want, and it would be a very limited run of colors, possibly just one like they do with the PMC editions. My prediction is it would be a what-you-see-is-what-you-get limited run car that would probably still be tough to get without a markup (but the car market is cooling off rapidly so maybe that's not so much an issue, dependent on timing).

They'd also probably make most of the parts available to buy a la carte but you're on your own with the install. I don't see them making most of the aesthetic parts available, like the slick carbon rear seat area or possibly even the bumper, hood, canards, etc.- but I could be wrong there. If they're manufacturing them separately for the HRC production car then sure they could probably spin off a few extra for individual sale... plus as we already know the wheels and exhaust are Titan7 and Borla OEM respectively...

Cool stuff, I'm curious to see how it plays out. I'm on the fence now though. I think for $75k I'd just spring up to an M3 or CT4V TBH. I'd at least have to consider it.

Haha, $75k is the starting point I had in my head, too.

It's a lot for a F/F and certainly not a perf / $ car by any stretch... but the "special factor", will be a legitimate pull, especially if it's assembled by PMC. (And I think the PMC part is key here, both because I'd want the special paint job, etc. at that point and because of the, ahem, "assembly inconsistencies" we've seen on the normal models.) I hope they produce it. I'd seriously consider one -- and I mean that -- even though, for me, it would mean abandoning any plans of a RWD car in the relatively near future. It would just be a cool car to have in the stable.

I definitely see the appeal. But I've been looking at the G80 recently anyway.

100% agree that the HRC should be a PMC build if it is meant to be a special model or limited production car. The quality needs to be significantly better than what we're seeing now.

They look nice, but I donā€™t see the point.

those black CTR seats or these HRC would be incredible. The stock seats in the integra are my biggest complaint (by far). Would also be fun do do buckets in the rear (M5 CS style)ā€¦ although I probably wouldnā€™t follow through on that one haha.

A little more "plug and play" for a seat swap would be necessary for me. I'm right there with you on the seats. I don't have any "issues" with them per se, but they are severely lacking from an "engagement" perspective and just simply inadequate for routine track use.

Let me clarify a bit- I consider the seats functional for track use, but to me I found them to be a slight distraction; i.e., I actively thought during my time on a race track that I wish the seats were more secure. I don't think about the seats during my autocrosses but I'm sure I would notice an improvement in that category. I really don't have any complaints about them for routine street use, other than I wish they looked a bit better.

But back to my "plug and play" comment- a couple folks have swapped seats recently on this forum and it seems like there's some issues with persistent lights and possibly fitment with some of the available install gear out there today. If I could buy something as a kit that I could bolt together in my garage on a 70-degree afternoon this spring, it may very well happen. Black CTR seats would work for me. The Recaros in the HRC are a way overkill, but very cool- (and expensive-) looking.

yeah Iā€™m not interested in blazing trails and coming up with new hardware solutions either. I appreciate the work others do but I donā€™t think thereā€™s as shop near me that would be helpful either.

black CTR seats seems like a perfect solution to me. Hopefully that would be very plug and play option and those seats are great. The HRC do look pricey and less necessary if the CTR seats could work. Those black seats may not be available anytime soon (or ever?) so I wonā€™t hold my breath. Since weā€™re building a house Iā€™m holding off on getting another car for now and thus will likely track the ITS a few times this yearā€¦. We shall see.

looking forward to more updates on the update/facelift details though.

I'm still kicking the whole seat thing around. I'm not up for disassembling the sensors and such from the stock seats. I personally am fine tracking the car without side airbags. I know one event promoter I do Track days with is pretty relaxed with that sort of thing, but the other may be another story. I'd also be fine running 5 points, but The Integra presents some challenges as far as harness mount options in the rear. If I take out interior stuff, then I need a cage.

Kind of a bummer.

Further, I can't quite get the seat positioned with the perfect amount of rake. The front mounting holes in the floor are at an angle, so as you start adding spacers and longer bolts, the rear mounting holes no longer line up. All it will handle is a couple washers unfortunately.

I wish I was rich, LOL. then I could throw unlimited money at the car. (Or buy a Porsche)
