  1. Back on Track

Have you looked at the wastegate and touched it yourself? Definitely don't do it right after a drive, unless you want to play with a 2nd or 3rd degree burn, lol. I noticed it was really easy to replicate the issue and it's really apparent why it rattles. I couldn't seem to tighten the captive...
  2. Back on Track

They're definitely not a bad dealer, but I do think wherever they got my car from (they admitted it was traded over to balance inventory) that there's some shoddy tech doing the black badge installs. That person is just purely lazy and messed up too many things. The paint issues and holograms...
  3. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

In general I put nearly zero stock into YouTube creators. Often times they present themselves as experts, but they know about as much as the average person... Not to mention I'd rather take 5 mins reading an article than spend 30 mins watching a video. This is a generational thing... It seems to...
  4. Back on Track

Dropped off the car at the dealer today to address several rattles. The tech rode along with me and was able to find the faint rattle pretty quickly being behind the infotainment screen and he was surprised it's there after they did the civic infotainment tsb. It seems that may be contributing...
  5. Got My Snow Tires Today

    Blizzaks rock. Enjoy!
  6. Back on Track

Winter and stock class wheels came in! I haven't decided if I'm going to do any autox. It's been about 4 years since the last event I did. I figured these wheels could cover it if I wanted to do it, but they'll also be awesome for winter.
  7. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

Yeah, I feel for the guy. It all sounds like it fell apart from the start for him unfortunately. He did have some good videos on the milltek exhaust. Unresonated it was LOUD, droned constantly, and you could hear it audibly in video harmonize with certain plastic pieces. He comments about how...
  8. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

I'm sorry for calling you butt hurt. That's a feaux pas on me and i sincerely apologize. Maybe I've been the one a bit upset for the comments you've made where having a differing opinion from you means we should just get out and leave. Comments like, "this car just isn't for you", "move on...
  9. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

Don't get so butt hurt over other people's thoughts my man. It'll stress you out in life, and it's not worth it. I'll get rid of it when I want to, because it may be a dinky car but right now it's my dinker... As evidenced by the fact I bought it 3 months ago and have already thrown almost 20%...
  10. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

... Man looking up the veloster makes me envious of their panel gaps and paint finish quality 😒
  11. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

Full veloster mode!! Enhance! The similarities become uncanny 😅. Both have big gaudy wings, both have weird bumper recesses, both have giant valence, both are hatchy in shape, both have tiny rear glass, and both have twin tips! If they were the same color, from 10ft away the average person...
  12. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

I'd prefer single over dual just to avoid that veloster look and for weight, but that's just me. Tomei is always in the business of making the lightest exhaust possible with the fewest bends. They're pretty decent stuff and I'd expect an exhaust for this platform to run for about 1800$ from...
  13. Back on Track

Carbotech xp10s came in! These pads will match up well to a 300tw or 200tw tire. They could tolerate a 100tw semi-slick track day tire, but that'll push the edge with a car as heavy as the its. In that case xp12 would probably be better, and for a true slick like a Hoosier, pirelli, or Michelin...
  14. Anyone having issues with carbon fiber exterior oem

I wish you the best, but it honestly seems like acura doesn't care about these issues. Having done some carbon work previously.... These are supposed to be prepreg parts, but they should still get a coating of urethane or poly after cure. The bigger issue is the carbon parts are coming with...
  15. Steering wheel creak

Cable reel. It's in the steering column path behind the steering wheel. It will start as a faint tick, click, and as the reel wears it'll get significantly louder and more rattley. Eventually it'll just rattle driving along and not just when turning. Demand from the dealer to give you a tech...
  16. Steering wheel creak

Does it occur at low speeds mostly turning right? Sounds like a clicking or ticking? Could be the cable reel. These cars don't have clock springs, but cable reel failure does occur. My car has this issue and I'm taking it into the dealer soon to look at.
  17. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

I just don't like any of their tips and I don't like the fact the outlet for the center is 3" while the other 2 are 2.5". That makes it hard to find other tips that match. And it's again a slip fit system. For comparisons sake, here's a nameless exhaust for a 370z, which is much more...
  18. Clicking noise from left front ONLY when turning right...

If all it took was a few autox events to loosen bolts, they weren't tight to begin with. Autox is honestly quite mild on the car. It's less than 60mins of driving for an entire season typically, and for most people it's less than 30 mins.
  19. Any new Exhaust's in the works ?

Fear at throwing money into something that may not work out. Sure, you can't win without trying, but you also can't lose either. Fear cripples. I just wish the mbrp and milltek weren't over $2k for a 500$ slip fit exhaust. It's some bent, oversized pipe, and a couple mufflers folks. For $2.5k...
