Most informative answer yet. And hands down best guess. I’m hoping everyone looks at this and can do the same
Ignoring everything and volume cranked to 11, I think I can hear it from around 2-5s and then again from 12-14s. Its hard to tell from the audio quality tho it sounds similar to a dry bearing being spun, or even a cracked CV boot, but definitely a howl. The tempo sounds consistent with the speed of the car/rotation of the tire so probably a wheel/axle component?

Just speculation.

A highly mechanically inclined friend said the bearing was too hot and needed to have more grease added[

Thanks I know it’s hard to hear if interested pm me I’ll text u the audio clip I have that I can’t post it has the ideal audio needed to identify

I went back and listened to it more intently and I think I hear what you're saying now. It does sound like kind of a mild howling noise.

A) You need to go to a different dealer
B) You need to explicitly state that you want a warranty diagnosis. This is covered under your bumper-to-bumper manufacturer warranty
C) Do not mention that you're beating on the car. If you have any modifications, stickers, anything, just remove them
D) Just be professional and firm

I'm shocked that you're worried about warranty coverage on a new car. Unacceptable, go to a different dealer or speak professionally to the service manager.

This doesn't make sense. Just because they aren't making money off a loan, doesn't mean they don't make money. If it's covered under warranty, Honda compensates the dealer for the work. If it isn't, you do. It's free $ for them and work for their techs / mechs. I can't imagine a dealer turning you away because you bought the car elsewhere... this is their chance to steal you as a customer, lol.

[and I’d would agree. But tbh I’m 27 covered in tattoos and I think they judge me. Idk what it is. If I was 65 with grey hair they would jump to help. They want me to pay out the ass. Half the stuff I’ve already paid was supposed to be under the premier package but they didn’t tell me I got that. My girl did it while I was outside smoking before I signed contract and no one said shit. She brought it up and I read my contract and sure enough there it is. I bought at what would be considered. The “shitty dealership” cause my mom knows the lead salesman and wanted the rebate check so I said fuck it. All the others are just as greedy. I went in for a tire replacement and they came out with an iPad and said with everything it’s 847$…….. like bro.

So I hear this whirring or howling noise when I’m decelerating at high speeds is when it’s most audible and at low speeds not often but sometimes. Just driving me crazy crazy it sounds like it’s coming from the front right side. If I take a sharp U-turn, it makes a certain noise that I can’t really describe by typing. i’ll attach a video of what it sounds like in fifth gear at about it’s a high pitch noise that’s driving me nuts and I just wanna know what it is and if it’s covered under my premium care warranty. I feel like it’s wheelbearings I did a deep dive… it did nothing but make me more worried that it’s everything but.., possible powertragearbox differential CV axle. None of it really made the noise that I’m hearing from the watched videos but when I swerve to the right, it becomes more pronounced and when I swerve to the left it goes away when I accelerate it goes away. And in neutral it is semi there but not nearing as much. Any help would be appreciated. I’m at 26,800 miles. And I apologize for the absolute shit video for reference. It’s kind of hard to drive and record to catch a sound, but you can hear it right as I stop accelerating. And it happens in 2-3 in 4th 5th and 6th it’s much more audible between 3500 and 3000 is the most noticeable. And as far as the video the best I can say is in the very beginning. I know there’s a lot of rumbling noise of me moving, but that high-pitched wine is what I’m referring.

Only one dealership I haven’t gone to yet…. Is Arlingtons. Going there tomorrow to drop off and hopefully be treated with respect and actually be helped. My dealership in forty worth literally told me June 6th they would have a loaner. I called back after work 2 hours later. They hit me with “uhmmm we don’t know who said that or who you talked to but soonest we will have a loaner is November fucking 9th”

Would you say that motor mounts going bad could be potential cause of sound?

Mine has the same noise and I've noticed it since new (it has just over 3700 miles now). It is very easy to reproduce at highway speeds.

In 6th gear going 65-70mph I can completely lift off the throttle and then just barely re-apply the throttle. I can literally turn the sound on/off with that small throttle application while coasting or maintaining speed. Under light acceleration its gone. On full off throttle deceleration, its gone. It's only when I have the slightest throttle pressure but the car is still in a decel state or a fixed speed state.

It's definitely a lower pitched whirring sound. Like a differential in a rwd car or something like that. This is not the higher pitched metallic waste gate rattle.

My car runs great, gets expected mileage and performs well when I ask it to. So I haven't been concerned at this point, more of a curiosity as to what it was.

so. Leaving dealership. DO NOT KEEP DRIVING IT LIKE THAT. it’s a mix of bearings wheel and cv and it’ll cause your alignment to look like this. Now I will say for the first time it’s all covered from warranty minus the alignment but still their mechanic said if it goes again immediately bring it in

Sorry I don't understand if its resolved or not based on the post. Are you saying the dealer did a wheel alignment and the noise is gone? Or is there more work scheduled to replace parts?
