Estimated Delivery Timeframe for the 200 Preordered Cars

For those who have a VIN and know their car is in transit, did you get an email update from Acura? I got the initial email back on the 14th, but nothing since (LMC). Was hoping it should ship out soon... It does show as "in transit" to my dealer, but I think that's just any allocation, not that it's actually being shipped.

If you looked at the first email from Acura it shows the next alert will be when it's ready to pick-up from the dealership. We won't hear anything from Acura until then. In the meantime you can reachout to your sales person to see if a VIN has been assigned

Still waiting for my pre-order Apex Blue/Orchid from Santa Barbara Acura. Probably one of the furthest shipping distances. My last 3 VIN digits are 102. Dealer says maybe at the end of this week.

Anyone who reserved one of the first 200 in Tiger Eye Pearl her anything yet on when they can expect their car? I got an email from Acura on 6/14, saying it’s in production, but since then nothing, reached out to my dealer and they haven’t heard anything yet.

Mine is supposed to be arriving today or tomorrow. I have an appt for Weds to pick it up (providing everything goes as planned).
I was honestly hoping it would take longer, haha.

I find it crazy that the serial of the vin jumps around a bit. There are black ones made before this one.

Are there any other colors beyond blue with a vin assigned below *100?

I mean at least you have a VIN. I am not sure if my guy just doesn’t know how to check if a VIN has been assigned or what. When did you get your VIN assignment?

You aren't alone... I am in the same boat (LMC). You can clearly see the dealer has 2 in transit and they confirmed that but couldn't even confirm that one of them is mine... Nor a VIN or any idea when it might arrive. I don't mind waiting if they just gave me a date so I could start setting up PPF/Tint...

I didn't know the VIN until I signed the purchase agreement, and it's on that. I signed the purchase agreement last Friday 6/23 after taking their ITS demo for test drive. The dealer had asked me to sign the purchase agreement prior to their demo car arriving, but I wanted to see an ITS in the flesh AND test drive it, of course, before signing anything.

And somehow my Black/Black is #498 and arrived on 6/15... VINs are supposed to denote order of production, but it sure sounds like they're being drawn out of a hat.

My black is 519. I think the VIN does denote order of production, but what you are seeing play out is related to logistics of getting vehicles from the centralizes distribution hub out to the dealers nationwide.

Question for any of the other owners…are you all hearing a tinny electric/metallic buzz under acceleration? It’s faint/persistent under acceleration that goes away if you lift off throttle, and doesn’t get louder at higher rpm’s. I don’t hear it on harder acceleration pulls or with the radio on, but it is there. Wondering if it is a “normal” sound or the infotainment/dash/engine bay buzz that plagues other civics before I tear open the dash to find it.

It is strange. I am very interested to hear why this is as jumbled as it is. We have sub-100 ABP cars, and some in the low 400s.

Why stop making Blue to make demo launch White only to restart with Blue again?

Why stop making Blue to make demo launch White only to restart with Blue again?

Well they are working in 50 (?) car batches right? I suppose they did White and Blue for the demos in the first two batches (sub 100) and then started working on other colours (like TEP, LCM, Black, ABP) and then switched back to white/blue?
