Since they got bought out, has it really gone that downhill? I was really hoping to fully PRL my car here soon and I don’t know if any other options.

What I was going to put was the:
HVI
Turbo Inlet
Intercooler

I may just be blind but I wasn’t aware of anything other brands offering this stuff.

My opinion is that their quality is still solid but leadtime is a real issue.

Can’t complain about quality. They really make good parts but you’ll be waiting for a while. I never got my charge pipe, finally cancelled it when they kept pushed my order ETA back till feb 22, I had ordered the charge pipe back in August.

All these delays are what makes me hesitant to go in on the preorder for the new PRL HVI, seems like the charge pipes are STILL delayed. Something went screwy with their production times or logistics since they got bought out.

We have PRL charge pipes in stock today for the FL5/DE5 and the 11th gen 1.5T. My best advice is to confirm inventory/leadtimes with a trusted dealer before ordering.

Regarding the FL5/DE5 High Volume Intake, if you have not ordered already you will have to be careful who you order from if you want one out of the first "batch" of inventory, which is expected to ship through April. My understanding is that all first batch inventory has been allocated to dealers at this point. Look to June or so for the next batch.

Serious question, what is it that worries people? That you will be waiting months for your order and they will have your money? If so, I 100% get it. But it isn't like anything else is going to drop between now and June in this price range that has these options. And if it does, cancel your pre-order.

I wish there was more competition to force PRL to up their game, but as the originator pointed out, they have most of this locked in right now. And nothing compares to the HVI in this price range IMO. I was looking at the black HPS charge piping, it's OOS with no ETA. So it isn't like this is a PRL only problem, our platform has only been out a few years and with limited numbers. So supplies are likely always going to be somewhat limited. I feel like the Civic forums poisoned the well against PRL some fairly, and some folks were a bit impatient/entitled.

27WON has an SRI currently. They are developing a CAI right now which you can convert to from their SRI. They also have an intake snorkel available to order.
(This is all detailed on their site and socials)

27WON also has an inlet pipe coming soon. For now, it will only be compatible with stock intakes and the 27WON SRI. They will eventually have an option compatible with other intakes.
(Got some of this from their site and socials. The rest I got from a phone call with them about a month ago)

They do have an intercooler as well. I believe it is a preorder item right now? I have one installed, but that is because I signed up as an early access buyer.

Axion Industries has an inlet/CAI combo available. They do not offer these items separately. I believe it is pretty much all one pipe.

PLM has an inlet, but I've heard very mixed reviews about their products.

There are other intake options out there., but other than K&N I can't think of them off the top of my head.

27Won would be your next best bet. I too am holding out on the FMIC, HVI, and Turbo inlet pipe. Supposedly 2 of 3 items will be dropping in the coming weeks

With "April" deliveries there isn't a rush to order. I'm hoping they change their tune and include the TI adapter as an option.

Are we all talking about the 2.0T? Because I thought the upcoming 27 Won products are for the 1.5T? Would be awesome if they had 2.0T products dropping.

Something to keep in mind is that in April we will be talking about the next batch that is due in June. Based on the sales and production figures I have seen I believe they will be hard to come by in April for anyone that didn't order in late Feb, perhaps even excluding many that will order in March.

PRL knocked it out of the ballpark with this design at this price point and the demand shows it. It will likely be sometime in the summer before PRL has inventory of this product just sitting around.

I think you mostly hit the nail on the head, it's social media poisoning the well really, if all you ever hear is people complaining it's easy to build anxiety toward anything.

As for myself it's a combination of the initial commitment, I mean wouldn't hurt so much if retailers only required a deposit vs full payment, however it's understandable why that just can't happen.
At the same time in the event that an item is delayed for months, while I understand customers can simply cancel, I feel like there should be some sort of accountability, after all retailers don't exist without their customers.

Guess I'm just old and antiquated and like to buy physical things with physical cash without the wait LMAO.
