I will add that the acuity collar is the wrong diameter for the factory boot. It's too narrow which leads to some pinching of the boot. They should have made it a 1/4" wider, but c'est la vie!

The ti acuity collar lowered the knob by a bit so that the taller knob is sitting near factory ti knob height now. I no longer think the throws need to be shorter. Throws are perfect now. I do wish the gates were a bit wider from factory, but eh what can you do, 🤷‍♂️. Feels great and I much prefer the circular design. It also seems to fit the character of the car well since it's a slower transmission and needs more finesse that the larger/heavier knob affords.

Glad to hear that I'm not crazy in thinking the shifter mechanism could use little more weight.

I mean, I could still be crazy, but at least I'm not alone!

That looks good. I just prefer the OE look. I have ceramic tint all around including windshield. Plus my windshield visor for the heat so shouldn't be too bad... it sucks in the cold though for a few minutes lol
Scooped one of these to help with hot and cold days. I also prefer the OE look.

You are correct. The diameter of the collar is a smidge narrower. I have that part toward the front of the shifter so no one can see it.

I didn't think about it until after it was together, but that's also the direction I planned to go. Maybe bunch it in two areas along the sides near the stitching to make it less obvious.

I do like the collar though! It fits in well with the knob and I like the smallness of it. Silly stupid to spend so much for it to be burnt ti, but eh "it's the little things".

Installed the mugen alcantara. It feels nice, a tad lighter than oem. It does make the shifting feel less buttery smooth, the 1-2 shift feels a bit more rough. Not sure if I love it yet, but looks damn good.

Mugen Ball has been great, think I might pick up another Mugen next time I'm in Japan.
