Hi All,

Is there any way to silence the proximity sensor while you're parked? For instance, I pull into the same spot into work every day and there is a bush in front of my spot that always sets off the sensor when i pull in or when i first start the car to leave. My VW had a button on the console that let you turn off the sensor until it was activated again.

I can't find this sort of setting anywhere and it's pretty annoying.

Yes, i know i could trim the bush or don't park as close but i'd like to know if there is a way to disable for that one activation.

Thanks!

nfortunately no quick-press button such as the one on the VW but it can be relatively quickly turned off/on via the scroll wheel on the right side of the steering wheel, scrolling until you see your car with all of the green and/or white lines and then scrolling down and checking/unchecking the proximity sensors there.

Mine does the same thing going into the garage. I got tired of it so I turned the parking sensors off in the right gauge and the roller on the steering wheel. Go to the one with the pic of your car and all of the sensors and turn it off. I get a screen that parking sensors are disabled as part of the startup sequence but no more beeping.

It doesnā€™t alert while the parking brake is set.

You can mute it using the right steering wheel scroller. But make sure you see in the speedometer area the prompt saying that MUTE action is activated in the scroller.

Weird. I set the parking brake to shut it up in my garage all the time. And mine is a stick same as yours. Does it keep alerting if you take it out of reverse? Any time Iā€™m parked with the car idling I reflexively shift to neutral.

If you press the right-side steering wheel scroll wheel it lets you mute it temporarily
It's not that annoying
Does this happen to everyone? I mute the beeps temporarily but on the infotainment screen, the proximity alert will pop up then goes away, back to whatever screen you are on, then pop back up, then goes away and so forth? Cuz that is FUCKING ANNOYING lol

Actually, Zircular we're both right (or wrong). The alert goes away when you take your foot off the clutch (but when the e-brake is on)

For whatever reason, our cars seem to behave differently. Letā€™s see if this video works:

I tried it in first gear with the clutch in and then in neutral with the clutch out. IDK. So long as you found a solution, thatā€™s all that matters.
