i was trying to use willtheyfit.com lol but i didnt know the oem offset. the wheel stuff has always terribly confused me. so if i get a higher + offset, i need to maybe reduce the wheel width to compensate?

honestly for now im probably going to just order a set of all season tires in the OEM size since i already have a second set of OEM wheels.
OEM Wheel offset +60. Try this site:

https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

Best I have used, but there are others too.

I think an optimal winter option if you want to maintain stance (actually slightly more aggressive even) is probably 18x9.5 ET +45 with 265/35 tires.

Got my TN Winter setup yesterday, bought the combo on Tire Rack, shipped it directly to my Discount Tire Store as they now own Tire Rack as of a couple of years ago. They only charged $20 for the swap install. Enkei Triumph in Matte Bronze, 18×9.5 +45, Continental Extreme DWS06's 255/35/18.

Just installed my winter set: VikingContact 7s on Fast FC04 18x8+40et.

That said, has anyone had success picking up preprogrammed TMPS sensors? I had a new set mounted in my tires but I have yet to give it a try and see if my ITS will pick them up. Worried that they won't communicate and cause the TPMS warning light!

I didn't get OEMs, this is the model: https://www.max-sensor.com/home

I merely bought the TPMS devices from Tire Rack and they worked fine.

The car should communicate with the sensor without any programmation. Might not work if the sensors are aftermarket...

I spoke with a representative at Tire Rack who suggested Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 XL in 245 35R 19. I had them installed today on the spare oem wheels included in the "launch package".

Tire Rack called me personally when I ordered 255/35/19 to question my choice.. Odd they recommended 245/35 :hmm:

That's exactly how the conversation started. They wanted to confirm my order for 255/35 19 wasn't a mistake. I explained what I was looking for (winter setup on oem) and he suggested the 245/35.

Mich Alpin 4 rocked on my 4x4 Focus RS...Narrow tires are whats needed for the deep snow cut threw instead of riding on top...Being in Chicago I'm sure they will come in handy

I had my winter wheels installed last week, and I'm really pleased with the setup:

  • 245/40 R18 Vredestein Wintrac Pro
  • 18x8 Gloss Black Painted Sparco Record
The tires are very quiet/smooth, and the ride is soft--I can tell they're nowhere near as sticky as the OEM summer tires, as I can induce wheel hop rather easily, and one piece of my commute with fresh resurfacing no longer sounds like a hailstorm is happening under the car.

Did you need hub centric spacers with this ?
