Looks like Wagner just released their FL5 intercooler. It’s massive but the metrics are quite impressive. I just ordered it this morning, so I’ll be able to put it side by side with the PRL I have. Haven’t installed that one yet, so i may be selling it once the Wagner comes in. Obvious first concerns are airflow issues to radiator, but I would assume Wagner thought about that quite a bit. Also seeing that this core is thinner and tube/fin, should flow fine. Think there are only a handful available if anyone else is interested.

Do you know if this will fit without modification? If not, what is required to modify to install?

No I’m operating under the impression that FL5 intake parts fit the DE5. If wrong, I’ll have to find a buyer on a civic forum 😅

Has it even been confirmed it will fit USDM FL5s? I don't remember seeing nearly enough room to mount that with our front crash bar.

LOL., install instructions shipping with unit and not posted on website so you won't know if it requires modifications until you get it..
Dang.. curious to see those instructions when you get it.

Because of how tall it is, I think it will cover some of the bottom radiator area, so it may not be a good thing. Thoughts?

Do you know if it is tube / fin or bar / plate? Couldn't find it listed.

The performance series are bar and plate, competitions are tube and fin. The fl5 is a competition cooler.

Looks sick. Hopefully you can avoid upgrading your cooling, but at least there are bigger rads on the market should you need one.

It's actually not clear whether or not this will reduce airflow more than, for example, the PRL intercooler, which is a much more restrictive bar and plate design.

Let me know what you find re: fitment -- I'm definitely interested.

THIS.... dont know where its supposed to go. The PRL is almost to tall, this one looks way too tall.

The PRL is significantly longer and thicker (yup, waiting for the jokes). Actually think there will be better airflow with the Wagner due to fin design and being almost 1.5 inches thinner. So although it looks massive, it should fit nicely. Here it is in the FL5, which I did get confirmation from them directly it fits US spec.

PRL is also bar / plate, as opposed to tube / fin. The Wagner should allow a lot more flow to the radiator. Will be interesting! I wish it didn't require proprietary charge pipes. I like how the HPS pipes are mostly metal and less likely to flex w. pressure.

Are the charge pipes included in the price? I think it would be a better option as it would mean they could control the diameter throughout the entire run, as opposed to with PRL where you will always be limited by the IC inlet and outlet diameter to match up to OEM. I do love my HPS charge pipes though.

Just be warned, when I was getting a Wagner for my last car, it was not a drop in process, lot of cutting and relocating involved. Nothing serious, but certainly more than what was involved with putting the PRL on. It is quality stuff though. Wonder if you can relocate an oil cooler in front of it to offset some of the decreased radiator flow. We have a ton of room in front of the IC on our car, even with the thicker PRL.
