Been going through several aftermarket shift knobs. Recently landed on one I really like, and it matches the metal trim closely. It’s from an FK8 10th gen Type-R. Feels so good!

If that's spherical, it appears to be exactly what I'm looking for. Link please?

Yes, it’s spherical. I tried a couple knock-offs from Amazon, but the finish was not the greatest and the etching was a bit rough to the touch.

This is for the FK8 (10th gen Type-R) knob that comes the non-slanted and smaller font compared to the FD2 font:

And this is for the FD2 (8th gen Type-R) knob. The font for this one is slightly slanted and bigger compared to the FK8 knob:

Thank you. One more question: How's the weight?

It’s pretty hefty. I’m sure that you can find some exact specs online. For me, it was more about the feel and shape. Objective achieved.

My Acuity knob that was supposed to arrive tomorrow is now supposed to arrive today. Hopefully, I can get it on and start seeing how it feels. I do really like that it sits a little lower than stock, but am worried it might be too light. If it is and the size is good, I might first try swapping for the one that isn't insulated and weighs a few grams more.

I got the knob this morning and half ass installed it. Before I pop the panel and switch the boot collar, I want to test it for a while. It's definitely lighter than the stock knob and sits lower on the shaft. It might have felt a little more notchy rowing the gears in the driveway, but for me that's not necessarily a bad thing. However, I already ordered the non-insulated one, just in case.

Great call. Just installed and happy so far. Like how it sits lower than stock.

Discovered a new feature! Haven't seen it mentioned before, but if your tire pressure is low and you go to air up with the car turned on, the car will chirp the alarm arming chime once as you near the target pressure, then a few more times when you meet (exceed?) it! Very handy for if your air dispensing tool of choice doesn't have a gauge on it!

I thought mine did that when I was filling but wasn't sure.

Got tired of the stock all-seasons so I put on a spare set of BBS SRs that I had lying around to see if they'll fit. They're 19x8.5 and currently have 245/40R19 tires on them, which are a bit taller than stock. They've got maybe 5% tread left at best, so I have a set of S-04PPs on order in 235/35R19, which are still a little taller than stock but close enough.
