Also swapped out the PRL filter for an AEM Dryflow filter. Credit to the FL5 member "timestamped" that did the research for the AEM p/n 21-2093DK. See thread below:

https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/aem-dryflow-filter-for-prl-hvi-intake.55457/

I was hoping the filter was small enough to be able to be removed without needing to use the access panel but unfortunately it was way too big. Which is fine, any smaller and I feel we would lose too much surface area for the cone filter anyway.

Still a worthwhile mod, to me, since I prefer dry filters over oiled due to the potential for oil fouling on the MAF sensor. One less step to deal with when it comes time to service the damn thing in (hopefully) another 50k miles.

AEM vs PRL, both Made in USA

Some time around Halloween I installed the Viofo A229 dash and rear cam. Ultimately I chose this camera because of its capabilities but I really preferred he Fitcamx because of how integrated it looks. The front camera does take up a little bit of visual real estate but not enough to distract or impede (IMO). Install was easy enough and I bought a power adapter as well so I didn't need to tap into the fuse box or anything for the front cam. I ran the cabling for the front camera behind the rearview mirror and routed the cable for the rear cam around the driver's side headliner.

Initially I was sloppy with routing the cable for the rear because I really didn't want to take the car apart to hide the cable. It ended up looking like crap and coming loose from behind the headliner and actually impeded some of my vision when looking through the rearview. Today I spent an unreasonable amount of time rerouting the cable through the factory grommet for the third brake light and under the plastic hatch trim. The cable is fully hidden and looks so much better.

When the tuner tells you to start in 3rd gear at 2k rpm and rip it to 4th gear redline in race mode ( Map 4 - Race2 - More aggressive first and second gear than all, traction control almost nonexistent and more launch control slip allowed.) I got scared at the top of third when it was losing traction!

it's California cold at night 48 degrees F.

Technically not today, but took delivery of my PWP ITS last Monday. Dropped her off for PPF today. This will be my DD and I will also use it for some track days and mountain drives to give my GT350 a rest.

Careful with the ppf on the gloss black bumper sections. I had to have some pulled to relay and it took paint with it.

Congrats on the car, and enjoy on track! The Gt350 is a hoot.

I had some paint lift on the edges of the rear door bolsters when my PPF guy was installing. He tried touching it up but you can see it if you look for it.

I had the same thing happen on my truck when PPF was getting installed (different installer) but luckily for that one, it happened right smack in the middle of the side view mirror so he was able to sandwich the touch-up paint and you can't even tell anything ever happened.

I told my dealer what happened to just document it but it doesn't help that the PPF installer touched it up.
