Again I don't think it's bad, just that it could use improvement for my preference. The preference being a *little* more tension. If I'm being totally honest, though, if I didn't have a reference point from the M2's pedal feel, I think the ITS would be absolutely fine.

I chalk it up to one of those moments where you look for issues that don't actually exist and possibly modding just for the sake of modding.
Give it some time. Sometimes what weā€™re used to may not always be what is best. But perhaps after going through a winter and you have more miles then consider modding to the way you prefer?

I donā€™t know their design intent with the master slave cylinder and delay valve but as long as it helps the clutch last a long time Iā€™ll be happy with that

I'm sure it's a dumb gripe, but I wish downshifting had more of an effect. In my A-Spec Tech I swear I never had to use my brakes.

Clearly, the goal of all the delays is to prevent you from dumping the clutch, so at the end, protecting the clutch and drive train components.

But IMO, you can remove all those delays and have a precise engagement point and still don't drive the car like an idiot.

The precise engagement point also lead to a better grab of the clutch because it engages quickly.

Once again, I drove my S2000 yesterday and the clutch feeling is so better than in the ITS. And so easier to shift smoothly when you get used to where exactly is the engagement point.

How does the shift action compare to the S2k? Dare I even ask; vs the Accord?

ITS vs S2k (with AP1 slave cylinder w/o delay valve): ITS engagement point is so vague! Also, clutch does not seem to grip fast on the ITS. For the shifter itself, S2K is a little bit more mechanical than ITS.

S2K (AP1 slave cylinder) vs Accord (with slave cylinder delay valve delete): Pretty similar, but S2K feels a little more "race car" compared to Accord that feels a little more "luxury car". But really pretty similar.

As a reference, also had a 00 Civic with an 98 ITR JDM swap with a stage 1 clutch. The Civic clutch was really heavier (was not fun in traffic). But engagement point and grab on the Civic was really nice.

As another side note, I think the AP2 S2K would also benefit a lighter flywheel (AP1 flywheel) to diminish rev hang a little bit.

I rode 200+ miles in the backseat of my ITS today to see if the many "no rear seat USB/AC" complaints are valid. Three 6' tall people on this trip. Plenty of room and backseat is very comfortable. Temperature wise it was plenty cool in the backseat. Assuming that's due to the under seat vents. I keep an extended phone charger cord just in case but didn't need it. Would rather have an armrest than USB/AC. Maybe one could be clipped under the cupholder trim in the future. Otherwise no complaints.

I did not even realize the ITS has under seat vents? Guess I never popped my head down to look

A lot of vehicles have underseat vents. My Tacoma had them and they seemed to work fine. I personally think the whole center console vent missing thing is overblown. Honda/Acura always does a very good job with HVAC in their modern cars so they probably decided it was a marginal difference for way more complexity and cost.

I think a rear folding armrest would be a nice addition to the FL5 and DE5. If they're only going to give us 4 seats at least make them more comfortable!

Agreed. Quick Google search shows plenty of universal armrests but in my case not worth it. I'm sure with some finagling (see: redneck engineering) one could work.

Forgot to mention the best part of the trip was a guy and his wife in a Ram 2500 checking out the car gave us a thumbs up!

I'm glad this thread mentioned the under-seat vents. There is air in the rear, although it isn't visible to the passenger I suppose.

I will say the rear camera isn't a huge deal, but I do find it interesting that the interface is exactly the same as the one on my 2021 Odyssey, but the picture quality is significantly worse. Is it the camera itself? It's not the screen, which is bigger and slightly better than the Odyssey's. I can't figure out why the picture is so blurry!

Only annoyance so far is NOT being able to open the rear hatch while the car is running. Am I missing something here? I've tried locking/unlocking and using the popper on the keyfob with no luck. I could open the hatch in my 2018 Civic at all times as long as the doors were unlocked.

hmm when I drop off my sister in law at school every morning sheā€™s able to open the hatch while the car is running. Maybe because Iā€™m sitting inside with the key fab in my pocket. But when she gets out she has to unlock all doors before opening hatch

I'll have to try again. Might need the fob in my pocket but just didn't make sense it wouldn't open while the car was running with the fob inside the car :rolleyes1:

what I meant was you have to press unlock on the door panel switch in order to open the hatch while car is running.

the hatch button on the key fob is meant for unlocking it from a distance for someone to open the hatch while the doors remain locked

Have tried this and had the same results unfortunately
