New steering wheel installed. Wanted one that looked OEM but sportier. Red noon marker + flat bottom.

Oh nice. Where did you get it from? Is it heated?

Finally got my NE24 mounted, still waiting on the center caps.

Also, has the shop install the FL5 rigid collars and PRL rear motor mount. The car is actually quieter and smoother on the freeway, makes no sense at all. Should call those magic collar instead.
Did you get a lift access to install the collars? How intensive was the install?

As promised. pretty easy install. I did have to re-center it a few times.

holding the flat bottom feels better than the perforated leather imo.
Did you have to get an alignment after install? I’ve installed aftermarket wheels before and it’s never centered till after alignment.
I'm glad I saw this. I just installed the OEM Alcantara steering wheel, and now the steering is off by a degree or two to the left. (I had a second person hold the steering wheel as I was losing the OE one). At first i thought i had it in the wrong notch\teeth of the spline, but when I moved it over one, it was WAY off, so my original placement was correct. So, it looks like i'm going to have to get an alignment then :( . so annoying. (i've swapped steering wheels my old BMW M2 and ND Miata, and never had to do an alignment as the steering was dead one straight after swapping)

In other news, I did get Full Front XPEL PPF (Front bumper, full hood, headlights, mirrors, and A-pillar) installed with ceramic coating (i didn't care for ceramic coating but due to their mess-up with the TypeS emblem they went ahead and did it for me free of charge).

Sadly, the shop damaged one of the emblems, not sure if it was during removal process or if it fell to the ground, but a bit of it chipped off. Either case i'm waiting on replacements to come in. Annoyingly they only come in a pack of four. But here are some pictures, first time me having ceramic coating, looks so shiny. Hopefully makes it easier to keep car clean.

Yeah it’s the main way to get it fixed. But I’m still glad I changed mine out. It’ll feel great once you get it aligned.

My coolant expansion tank hadn't failed yet after 11k miles, but I went ahead and swapped it out for this really nice Schmuck Built one this past weekend.

Here's a before - during - after photo sequence.

I also scratched my hatch on my garage door 🤦‍♂️

I like the proactive action you took with the expansion tank. The new one looks nice!
It hurt me to see the scratch...hopefully it can be buffed out. Seeing that happen to a couple of other people in the message boards had me opening my hatch very slowly and holding it all the way up, until I saw if it would clear the garage door.

Mine clears when the garage door is closed, but I had a moment of carelessness trying to do too much at once when I opened my garage door while my hatch was opened at the same time.

I’m going to get it touched up. It won’t look perfect but it will be protected which matters the most to me.

What you’re seeing is bare metal, not a clear coat scratch :(

It happens--several FL5 owners have found (the hard way) that the wing is almost guaranteed to hit an open overhead garage door when opened. Once it's touched up, you'll be the only one to know it'll ever happened.

For sure! Glad there is no wing to worry about.

I’m glad it’s not worse. Other than feeling like an idiot at the time, a small blemish doesn’t concern me at all! It’s just a car after all. It will be just as fun to drive with touch up paint :)
