Said bye bye to the piano black…

Admire the beauty … from a distance. Do not touch it. Your leg is too close actually. Stop. The. Matting. lol.

Looks great!! Lots of ways to keep the Alcantara clean, but one thing I learned with my Camaro was a *light* spritz of plain water on a microfiber cloth and scrubbing, seems to work well. A lot of the chemical cleaners supposedly embed in the fibers and make it worse over time. I’m no expert detailer but it was an almost free and easy way to keep it looking nice!

enjoy the new look!

Yes, I have actually used just water in the past. Unless the alcantara is really nasty or matted no need for chemical cleaners. Good tip!

At least it doesn’t scratch or smudge from just looking at it lol like the piano black.

Yes
How long did it take for you to get it?

Looks great btw. The piano black scratches if you look at it funny.
Yes, yes it does.

Given I’m so meticulous and usually the only one in my car I can not figure out how it got so scratched. Much better now.

I had been emailing overland for a few weeks and was put on a contact list once a new shipment came in. Once shipped I had it in Alberta, Canada in less than 5 days. Was pretty impressed.

Has anyone done the Overland console &/or armrest in red yet? I haven’t seen it yet. Kinda leaning that way.

How’s the sizing on these? Are they β€œAsian fit” or normal American sizing.

Did a bunch today & the ride is amazingly tight!

PS4S 285/35/18 Tires (no springs)
Motul RBF 600 brake fluid
GM/AC Delco Syncromesh
Paragon Titanium brake shims
Spoon Rigid collars
RV6 rear sway bar - middle setting
RV6 camber parts A & B arms -2.5 rear camber
Pull front guide pins

Made it back in time just to beat some severe storms so don’t really have any good pics yet.

Did you do the collars yourself?

I planned on doing all of it myself but tired of sitting on everything for so long & just can’t make the time & first track events coming up soon. A reputable shop gave me an incredible price on everything so I took him up on it, especially since I’ll be going back there for helmets, gloves, etc.

I think you want to have more negative camber on the front than you do the rear, for a front wheel drive, right? For the track I mean. Maybe -2.5 front, -1.5 or -2 rear? Not an expert by any means but thought I read or heard that from track guys.

Could very well be. This is the most front camber I could get in the front by removing the guide pins. All I could really go by is what Humza of Unity Performance said would work & by the shop owner who fortunately competes in local autoX & circuit events. I’m a noob in comparison to them. LOL

You aren't going to be able to get that much front camber without a front camber kit. -2.0+ is about as much as you can hope for with the guide pins pulled.

Nice work, looks good!

Agreed, just thinking if we have full control over the rear camber, we could dial that back down a little bit so that the front rear balance is better. As long as we’re going that far in terms of set up. On the other hand, if we’re not Driving, or able to drive at 110%, we may not notice the slight variation anyway.
