Eventuri vs Gruppe M intakes

I like both of these almost equally, and am strongly considering buying one or the other as a "first mod". What distinct advantages am I missing between the two?

First off, I haven't seen definitive evidence that a Gruppe M intake is a direct fit for the DE5. Is there anything I'm missing, or are there virtually no differences between the FL5 and DE5 as far as intake installation is concerned?

Second, availability and cost. By my google searching, looks like they're pretty close in price, with possibly a $200 delta in favor of the Eventuri. Availability I'm not sure of, nor am I sure a good place to buy through. Ideally, I'd buy through a local shop and have them do the install but I don't have a local shop I trust at the moment, so I'll very likely be buying online and installing myself. I see Bulletproof racing pop up first in Google; what other experiences do people have here?

Finally, performance and sound. Any links to videos or dyno testing would be appreciated; I did find a youtube vid for the Eventuri on an FL5 and was reasonably impressed with the net gains. I'm leaning in that direction because I can't seem to find similar for the Gruppe M. My goals are to keep things very light as far as mods on this car as I think it's very close to perfection the way it is... but I'm drawn to these intakes mostly from a vid someone posted a few weeks ago for the Armaspeed intake where the sound appears to be a pretty dramatic difference, and I really like the look of each of these intakes (and why I'm not really considering the Armaspeed despite the clear cost advantage...).

Has anyone actually installed either of these intakes on their ITS?

I have no first-hand experience with either (or either brand), and I can't answer your questions, but...

...given the choice between the two, if I had to choose blindly with the same limited knowledge you / I have available, I'd probably go GruppeM / Blitz. The intake design, including the scoop that extends into the front grille area, seems to indicate they put more effort into improving the performance than the Eventuri (which seems to mostly just be a very nice looking version of the simplest possible implementation -- that said, simple is often best, so... ).

That's all just assumptions; take all of that with a grain of salt. I'm looking forward to real feedback here from those who do know better, lol. (Also, if you get one, sound clips would be appreciated.)

First, I saw an ITS at the CivicX event last weekend that had GruppeM intake and it fit perfectly. It was beautiful!

Second, I spoke to Honda Pro Jason and he mentioned that PRL is planning to manufacture a limited number (I think 500 units) of carbon fiber intake at $1,300 each. I do not have any more details other than that and if interested, you may want to contact PRL directly.

GruppeM over Eventuri. Eventuri failed to add an additional air inlet for the FL5/DE5 and it will be choked the further you get away from factory power levels.

Good feedback, just leaned back to Gruppe M. I just watched an install vid and it appears there's a part that feeds the ram air system that goes directly behind the bumper, I'm wondering if it's 100% the same for the ITS...

So that link is $1,124 but anywhere else I’ve seen it is like $1,800. Pardon my ignorance but are Blitz and GruppeM the same? And why such a huge delta in the price here with that seller?

It's a directly Japanese storefront, that's all I can surmise. I did the shipping calculation and it still comes in at way less than the $1800 most of the US storefronts want to charge.

Blitz and GruppeM appear to be the exact same intake, although I've seen at least one source suggest they have different filters.

For $1200 I think that's the way to go. I would very much like to confirm that the bumper fitment is the same before pulling the trigger though.

I've only used Blackhawk once, so my experience is limited, but it was good. Saved me about 50% on my rigid collars.

It is a lot for what used to be what, $4-600 max, right? But most recently I come from the Porsche world where an exhaust can run you in the 10s of thousands, and I can appreciate some interesting and gorgeous engineering and materials, so I can justify it. $1200 is an easier pill to swallow though, I do agree there.

International shipping and import taxes are typically already paid by a US based company when you buy from them but can end up being your responsibility if buy directly from Japan (or another country)
