14k hot damn! Thats awesome you guys use it so much. I only drive mine to soccer or messing around on nice days. Windows have to be down so can’t drive in rain🤪. I’m gonna do my first real drive this month, gonna load it up and make a run to Florida gonna see rain for sure. That’s just awesome your family uses the car so much. Keep it going!
Absolutely! We live 20 minutes to an hour away from anything too so that has significantly helped. Lol

Good luck on that long haul! I'm sure everyone will enjoy it.

Would love to hear about the damper and line install as I've been eyeing that same one lately. I've never done clutch related work yet

Nice pedal spacer! This is on my mod list. How are you liking it so far? What setting did you wind up going with?
I started with setting C (which was really good) but I preferred setting B. I'm more of a sidestepper than a heel-toer. I haven't driven the car yet though, so that might change as I'm in motion lol.

I do have to say Acuity makes a REALLY quality product.

That’s what I’ve heard about them as well 🤙 I have the cvt so don’t have to worry about the third pedal. Would you say setting B is a happy medium for both manual and auto alike in your opinion?

I'm waiting on my spare slave cylinder to arrive because I plan to modify it and remove the delay valve. Once I have it I'll start the Sirimoto parts at the same time.

I've done these before on my Accord and M2. It's not a very intimidating job but it can get messy.

Will definitely report back once the project is complete!

Awesome, thanks! Sounds almost like brake fluid stuff. Lol I pay to have it done half the time bc I still haven't gotten the brake fluid vacuum tool and I feel lazy about it.

I wish I could speak more on that in regards to the CVT. My own issue is that my feet are not large enough to consistently blip the throttle. I'm on the ball of my feet with the brakes and overextending my ankle to blip the throttle. Sometimes my foot will slip off of the brake as I go to blip. Setting B is nice because it moves the throttle pedal closer to the brake pedal, which was my biggest issue. The pedal height is a bit higher than stock in setting B so that might be an issue for me as I actually start driving it.

It's funny you say that because the brake and clutch fluid actually share the same reservoir, it's definitely brake fluid stuff 😆. I did brake jobs so often on my previous cars that I invested in a vacuum bleeder some years ago. If I were to do it again I'd get a smaller, more simple bleeder though. Highly recommend and worth the investment either way if you don't have access to a second pair of legs. I still need to pick up a speed bleeder screw because it's going to be a one man job.

This should be a 1-2 hour/beer install and clean up job with immediate results. The question is how much of an effect will it have. I'm hoping it's enough to solve our issues with jumpy starts, slow shifts, and grinding between gears.

I'm on a quest to improve engagement and feel in the car; clutch pedal feel, short shifter, etc. Waiting on Acuity to release their short shifter and Sirimoto (or someone) to release an improved clutch master cylinder. Once the hardware has been resolved, I'm aiming for tuning out the rev hang, adjusting the throttle mapping, and burbles to my liking.

Roger that. Thank you for your insight! I although at this point I know the car really well, I had in the past missed the brake initially when needed to in a hurt due to how far away it is and what I’m used to from past cars

This is exactly why I never quite learned to get in the habit of heel-toe. I don't know exactly if it's ankle flexibility (I've sprained both ankles more times than I can count), foot size, pedal position for all the cars I've owned, or a combination of all of the above, but I just never found the "joy" of heel-toe that other manual transmission enthusiasts seem to have.

So since the auto-blip was introduced in the 981 I had, I haven't looked back.

But honestly, in a track setting? I don't understand why anyone would try to heel-toe when the auto rev match is available. It's just one more thing to make a mistake with, and no one, including other people you're out there with, wants to make a mistake on track.

I guess the argument is that with auto rev, you might as well just run an auto with paddle shifter. Maybe that’s a hot take? Personally, I run without the auto rev on street and at the track. Not because I’m trying to be cool, but because I find it very rewarding when I hit the rev match perfectly. Now, I will say that when I did the auto rev in track, it was quite a bit quicker lap time wise. So to each their own. I like the footwork part of it more than the extra few seconds of time.
