This intake certainly looks amazing in photos. I’d be hard pressed to justify the expense but can appreciate those who came to a different conclusion.

It’s funny - now that I’m driving the Integra daily, it makes me want to dial back the modifications on my Subaru. The intake and the exhaust noise, plus all the poly suspension and drivetrain bushings/mounts… it’s only enjoyable when you can be in the zone and going from point A to point A, via a scenic route. i think the Integra could use a slightly louder exhaust note in sport/s+, as long as it can still get nearly as quiet as stock in comfort mode. Otherwise, the ITS is a perfect point-and-shoot commuter/fun car for me, in stock configuration.

Pretty sure I'm going to chop the muffler in the center out to get the exhaust noise.... Stock, but louder. I wish the valve didn't open in comfort on startup.

I still maintain this car doesn't need anymore power anyway. The torque steer at factory power levels is already getting on my nerves. Literally noise and aesthetics are the only attributes I'm looking for in an intake for this car. And by no means would I argue this as a wise purchase.
We're for sure in the minority. I agree, more power in this car doesn't make sense to me. I never thought I'd say this but the stock power levels are perfect. It just works!

More power is always good, LOL. I'm not as sensitive to torque steer from changing the track width with wheels, or even suspension issues with lowering springs. What I mean by that is I don't really notice subtle changes in behavior from the car after these mods.

I am however sensitive to the extra power from the tune and it is awesome!!

Getting the Flashpro and adding a Jester Tune was by far the best thing I've done. (PRL rear motor mount also)

The extra power at the track is amazing. Around town I drive normally, with the flow of traffic, so no detriments to fuel economy, torque steer, handling, etc. etc.

As a daily knockaround, more power is not necessary, I get that.

But a tune really wakes this car up. It's flat out fast now. Not fast from a dig, but in 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear, the car pulls hard.

I get not everyone wants to risk messing with their warranty, so it's not for everyone. But if you've wondered what it might be like tuned, you only live once, go for it!

The infinity intake looks, sounds, and performs amazing so 1500$ is a good deal IMO.
As far as tuning goes, I would have a very hard time going back to stock at this point. I was semi underwhelmed with the Hondata basemap, but Jesters tune really does turn this thing into a refined beast. My downpipe finally arrives tomorrow and after that I'm done with power mods. I think a 50-75 hp boost is probably the sweet spot for this car. I definitely understand anxiety about trashing the warranty though.

I'm glad folks are enjoying their tunes, but I'm currently firmly in the trench of "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it".

Except the sound. The car definitely needs as much sound as it can get. It's not bad from an OEM perspective but there is absolutely room for improvement. I have high hopes the intake will improve this area, and I'll get an exhaust at some point in the near future but I'm going on a parts hiatus until spring.

In my experience, with the PRL Intake and Eventuri Inlet, induction noise did not increase noticeably over stock. The only increase in sound from these two mods came from the increased turbo spooling and blow off sounds, which sound great btw, but if you're wanting more induction noise, you might consider an open chambered intake such as a simple "pop charger" style intake. Or maybe turbo charged cars just don't get a lot of induction noises with intakes the way that NA cars do where the throttle body is right after the intake as opposed to way down stream after the intercooler and charge pipes.

Like I mentioned before, I really think I could cater to you and @Clark_Kent. Since the car really handles the extra power very well and you can still keep the stock like drivability.

It really makes it seem like the stock car is broken🤣

You may be on to something. If I end up disappointed in the noise, I'll take a long look at the Armaspeed. So far, that's the only intake I can notice a clear increase in induction noise even through video. I was actually strongly considering going that direction but figured I'd just spend the extra scratch and try out the ID instead. If I don't like it, it shouldn't be too hard to pass it along to someone else who wants to give it a shot for a used discount.

Have you gotten a down pipe yet? Significant increase in exhaust sound.

If you want to improve the sound of this car, in addition to an intake I strongly recommend a downpipe, specifically the TSP one because it doesn't require a tune. I'm running the DP and a front pipe and the engine sounds significantly better than when I just had the front pipe on for several months (front pipe alone added only a nominal amount of low end to the exhaust tone). While the K20C is an amazing engine and produces a lot of power, it is not the best sounding in my opinion but the DP gives the exhaust a much more dynamic tone. You can actually hear the engine singing up top high in the rev range while also giving low end growl. The car sounds much more mechanical especially in the Sport settings, but gets back to stock levels of quiet in Comfort. And if you want your car sounding more mechanical in all aspects, I would also suggest looking into the Hybrid shifter. The shifts feel and sound more mechanical in a good way. Not like a gated Ferrari or anything but it's an audible improvement.

Is all this on a stock catback?
