Anyone else who did the install have driver side mirror rattle? I tightened everything down real well which solved it for the passenger side, but there’s still a bit of mirror rattle driving at highway speeds on the driver side.

Yeah, my driver's side mirror glass vibrates at highway speeds, but it doesn't make a rattling sound.

I should not have used the term rattling, no sound, but vibrates at highway speeds. The passenger side was doing it at low speed, but I had not tightened the base to the motorized mirror portion well enough. Doing so fixed the passenger side. I also removed and tightened the driver side, but there was not room to tighten and it did not end up decreasing the highway speed mirror vibration on the driver side.

I’ve started working on the install and im trying to get a grasp on the wiring setup before taking anything apart. Theres not much documentation on the orange wire bundle on the “F” kit, does the setup I have in the photo look correct?

Yeah looks correct. It's just a passthrough with a power take off for that module that plugs in. I added instructions to my first post on changing the settings after you install it. By default the horn beeps or something when you lock the door.

I got the turn signals installed and now I’m trying to get the base swapped out. Did you cut this foam gasket from the mikstore base to get the wire out?

No. Remove the adhesive/foam/electrical tape from the cable and the whole thing should come off.

De-pin connector and remove the foam adhesive tape that sealed the bottom of the boot. Slide everything through. If you salvaged the tape reapply.

IMO, I wouldn't swap out the base until you tested the mirror before hand. I know it will save time and I was tempted to do it but you don't want to be in that situation when everything is swapped and something is broken.

With my luck, something always goes wrong during shipping. Plus you can technically test the mirror when the door panels are off since you just need to connect the mirror to the main plug and making sure you did all the wiring correctly.

one last question before I start wiring and testing, the civic 2022 install manual mikstore provides states the following:
Before you insert any wire pin in any plug, make sure to unlock the PLUG first so the wire pin can push tru till the end and make contact. Failing to do this will not make it functional.
Did anyone else have to "unlock" their plug? I have no idea what this means.

Yeah there's a white or gray clip kind of thing that you slide and it release the pins. Pins don't fallout after releasing it's just a secondary capturing device on the connector

I’m still a little confused, should I have unlocked the plug when repinning the mirrors I unpinned

do these look pushed all the way through?
