ITS in apex blue being delivered in the next 1-2 weeks.
What tint % looks best without being too dark for night driving/visibility?

I was thinking 35% in front side windows, and 25% in the back windows+rear. Hopefully peeps got some nice pics to drool over :)

I did 25% all around. 35% I could still see into the car. 25 is dark enough that you really can't see in much and it blocks a lot of light. I did not do the windshield. The shop was trying to convince me to do 5 on sides and rear with 25 front and I'm really glad I didn't.

If there are no street lights or it's foggy, I have to roll down the window to see at night. If you're in a well lit area, you're probably fine.

this thread is worthless without pics. Mine came tinted from the dealership. I did 35 on the front windshield. also 35% is different between different brands. Just goto your local installer and look at their samples.

A bit off topic but do you already have a VIN?

I'm in the GTA and waiting for a APB ITS as well.

i LOVE the performance red, they don't offer it in Canada anymore :(
do you think you would have to roll down the windows at night with no light if they were 35% instead?
In the past I've typically done 35 and night vision in darker areas has been okay. Obviously it's still impacted, but not enough to where I felt "blind" like with 25.

70% windshield and 20% all around

here's what it looks like from the front - the photo is a bit misleading because the front tint is barely noticeable especially in direct sunglight. It looks much darker below than it really is IRL

Damn ur the perfect person to ask!

Thanks i will go with 35 in front, and maybe 25 in the back instead of 20. Looks plenty dark in your pic. Trying to be a little safer these days with the older eyes and response times 😆

You could always ask them to just hold up a sample to your glass to get an idea as well.

The other day I was in a poorly lit area and it was super dusty/smokey in Kansas city area. I couldn't see at a stop sign so I had to crack the window. Most lit roads it's not an issue. Out in the boonies at night it's definitely been a problem. I think part of the issue is the led headlights are very white so it messes with night vision and eyes adjusting. If they were more yellow or the windshield was tinted, I do wonder if it might be a bit better.

Also, 25 with ceramic ir nicer tint reflects more light so it appears darker than I expected. I like it 99% of the time 😊

20% ceramic all around.

Under strong sunset.

Ceramics make it much easier to see out of in all lighting conditions. If you live in a rural area 20% is too dark.

I wasn't sure if this was true or just my imagination but the ceramic tint on my DE5 definitely is easier to look out of than my other cars that had non-ceramic tint, some even with a higher %.

And as a bonus they don't block cell signal like the metallic based films they used to use!

I was just wondering this too because a lot of pictures other people's tint seemed much darker than mine but I know I got 20% ceramics and kept questioning afterward if they messed up or something since I know 20% has always been pretty dark in the past.
