I went TSP for that reason, not worth taking a chance for me. Also, need to verify if it's true no cel or no cel with defouler. I think 90% of the time the RV6 is fine, but was worth it to me to pay a little more for TSP for peace of mind.
Same here. I was starting to lean defouler route since I was told you might get some extra good sound out of it, but I want to do it right & clean this time regardless of cost.

That would be awesome, thanks! What color did you cerakote?

I've heard reports of both with the RV6 - so if one says it definitely won't (& hopefully works with us if there is an issue) then I'll probably go that route. I just despise CEL's - seen too many of them that dictated repairs. Plus I'd like it to come on if there's a separate issue.
I did silver on the ceramic coating. It's shiny and beautiful.

Anyone considering the PRL turbo inlet when back in stock? Looking at the Civic forums, looks like people are trying to retrofit the FL5 intake tube as it's quite a bit larger already. Not sure the billet heat sink does anything either...

Wonder if this actually would do anything? I like the idea of appearing stock. https://www.jsrengines.com/product/k20c1-inlet-pipe-porting-polishing

Anyone do a silver PRL intercooler yet? I saw the TEP with black which looked great, wanted to see how the silver looks on the Type S.

Also interested in hearing about your springs. ITS already has .8" less ground clearance than FL5, a 1" drop will take you down to 3", which is pretty low.

Which is why it already comes with speed bump warnings.
At stock height can an ITS clear a speed bump? Pretty sure my C5Z is lower than one and it can clear without scraping if it's at a crawl.

I haven't had issues yet. Only thing I scrape on are the RaceRamps I use as a lift. I have to put a piece of board on it to increase the approach angle.

My TSP downpipe finally arrived (had to ship it to WA then CA...). It's huge... and heavy.

Let me know if you get a CEL! Interested in this one... also, feedback on spool time / mid range would be appreciated!

I am going into these mods with the only expectation that I get a little more engine/exhaust volume. Any gains will be minimal till I get a tune. Only reason I bought the DP is because they might continue to dissappear as the EPA crack downs (hence why its TSP not PRL). Was pissed I missed out on the AWE for my MQB.

Yep... clock is ticking. Not expecting any serious changes on the stock tune (esp. not peak #s), but just curious if you do end up noticing any small ones.

Like you, I'm cognizant of the fact these won't be around for too long, so I'm kind of motivated to make moves on one, even though I'd like to hold off on a tune, etc. for awhile.

Is this down pipe made for the FL5 and would be compatible with proper spacing for the ITS?
