I don't know. 155 is already very narrow compared to the 265 tires on the car. Also, don't know the RL spare wheel specs, so don't know if a 115 tire would fit OK on the rim. And I don't think the spare would sit lower as the tire isn't really wider then the wheel itself.
According to Acura Parts websites the RL uses a 42700-SJA-J52 rim where the RLX uses a 42700-TK4-A51 rim. The RLX rim doesn't look as high as the RL rim but hard to tell without the specs. Saw where the RLX rim is available for $55 locally. Just trying to come up with a solution that lays down flat in the wheel well. The older RL rim appears to have a different design that at least from pictures appears to be higher. The RLX rim is used on a 2020 RLX so wonder if they produced a updated rim from the RL.
If you want the spare to lay flat, the only option is the BWM wheel... That solution wasn't good for me has i don't want to mess with the holes in the wheel.
I do not want to mess with the holes as well. Just saying am seeing differences with the RL rim & the RLX rim, lug nuts are different as well.
I fit the BMW rim this weekend. Was really quite easy, just a bit tedious with taking the tire on and off while you torque it.
Verify. The RL spare uses another kind of lugs... Best to be sure before you need it and notice you don't have the right lugs!

Nice!Went the 2020 RLX route. Rim 42700-TX4-A51. Lug Nuts 90304-TK4-A01 (5), ball seat lugs for rim match. Continental Tire SContact 115/95/R17. Same size tire used with BMW rim solution. Still working on securing rim in wheel well, will use adhesive.

It sits up about an inch like was described with the BMW solution. Flat towards the back seats up an inch in the front. The 115/95/17 tire sticks up less but the design of the rim makes it protrude the inch. Should be fine with the trunk mat. Will follow up with pictures.
How did you attach the mount to the rear floor? I have a very similar setup with an older RL wheel. I used panel body adhesive, and found that with the hot summer weather it eventually came off. Could have also been from just daily driving. I've since reattached it with the same adhesive, hoping I did something wrong the first time. So far it's been holding up for about 2 months. Used JB Weld epoxy. Think epoxy may have less issues with heat. Not many miles on car so will see but epoxies usually do a good job.
I've "glued" mine and it's been in there for more than a year now. I went to a body shop and they used adhesive which is used to glue body panels. So it's structural adhesive. You 'll need to prep the surface for it to bound solidly (sand to bare metal the bracket and the trunk floor). They charged me like 10 $ for the adhesive. Search this thread for my posts, you'll see how I did it.
