got mine replaced, fixed with updated part. now it's doing it again 3500 miles later...
i cleared a couple codes, re-did the steering angle position calibration, rotated the tires, and filled them up to 36 and it feels brand new again. not sure what did it. but there was one code related to EPS/cruise control and another related to steering angle that i cleared.

In my case, the problem seems to completely have gone away several months ago. It used to be pretty obvious mostly at highway speeds, but now it drives great without a hint of steering choppiness.

Strange, but I’m happy!

I wonder how many of those 1.7 million vehicle recalls could have been prevented if the dealers had not totally gaslighted people who complained about the steering a long time ago.

I just finished getting my steering system rebuilt, which (a few weeks ago) they described as a recall repair. The dealers probably already knew it was coming.

I love driving the car, but I'll be honest. My experience with the Acura dealership (both Dallas and Ft. Worth) was unbelievably bad. The way this was handled on a corporate level seems extremely disingenuous. I'm probably going to sell my vehicle and go with something else.

Considering a manual transmission Toyota Tacoma.

Could someone please confirm if this issue is exactly the same with Civic, I mean if these parts they change are identical with Integra?

According to the US recall it is Acura and Honda, including CIVIC. Here is the summary:

Summary
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.
Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov

It's baaaaack!

I had my steering repaired back in November 2023 and life was good. A few weeks ago I thought I felt it again but it was so subtle I figured it was just my imagination. However, in the last few days, there's no doubt it's happening again. It's not bad yet but this is exactly how it started the first time...it very slowly gets worse.

I'll be calling the dealership next week to get the ball rolling on the recall for repair #2.

If it was before the TSB which is now partially the recall. Your steering rack was replaced with the same spring and no additional grease in the worm gear, which was the same cause of your first sticky steering bad steering rack issue. It was just a matter of time for it the begin again. The recall replaces with a new spring and adds a good amount of grease now.
