Hello, guess I'll give my shot.

Bought Aug '23 and ran the summer PS4s all the way to Oct/Nov '24. ITS is my daily, it's my everything (at least for traveling purposes). It lives outside minus my 8-10hr shifts at work while sitting in a temp-controlled garage and its parked on the street mostly everywhere else.

Live in Jersey, commute to NYC daily. Entering the '23-'24 winter season, I took my chances with the stock PS4s as I didn't care to throw down $1200 for the DWSs if it wasn't necessary (debatable). I did worry when the temps did dip below 45F at first but after repeated inspections in <20F weather with no visual or ride quality warnings, the worries stopped. I felt the tires were stiffer and created more road noise, but no white-knuckle moments when it came to traction. Rain, no problem, just steer clear of the puddles/pools. Snow wasn't much of a factor that season, but we did get ONE snowfall of maybe 1/4" of snow and that is the MAXIMUM amount of snow the PS4s can "handle". You will have some wheel spin if do anything but a slow rolling start for a green light. Obviously don't drive like an idiot and send it any corners. Slow and steady wins the race.

Last fall, tires were finally looking shot. One had a small bubble, but it was mostly thread wear overall. Picked up some Ironman iMove Gen 3 AS to just get me through this winter. Hopefully I'll have figured if I want a new wheel/tire setup this summer or keep it stock again.

Drive safe.

just out of curiosity how many miles did you get outta your PS4’s? They say 30k miles but somehow I doubt that’s accurate

Don't have exact but between 13-14k when I swapped.

I’ve had these tires on several different cars. At most, I got like 18k miles. On my old genesis coupe track, lasted 12k. I don’t track my cars and this was all street driving in the mid-Atlantic area.

Did you try to have Michelin warranty them?

They've lasted 25-30k for me on other cars. About 17k on my wife's q7 now and still at 5.5/32nds or so, and the Q7 has far more torque and hook off the line (where a lot of wear occurs). Not to mention weight.

When I took my summers off at 4.5k mi, the wear was 1/32nd or so, and that includes one day at the track, which is surprising since I've eaten a whole set of new ps4s on a cayman during a private day before. Granted the alignment is aggressive on the street and the factory toe I had was way out of spec in the its. It was aligned at 1200 miles by the dealer with the alignment pins pulled before the track event. 0 toe front and 1/32nd toe in in rear, -1.9ish front camber and -1.8 rear.

I'd recommend an alignment for any new or used car purchase... Just look at the "before" on this car. It's pretty atrocious.

I lived in the Sierra Nevada foothills with my last car which was an Audi S5 with fantastic AWD. I got caught in a little snow once when I still had summer tires on, and it's not so much the traction but the stopping/braking and stability that is affected with summer tires. If you are going to keep the car for a few years, then invest in a set of winter tires that fit the stock rims.

I had a model 3 performance with summer tires. Since it was awd figured it was good to go. Was almost worse than my rwd car with A/S tires. Learned my lesson. As far as temps go, I haven’t had an issue with tires cracking and going bad from aggressive driving sub 20 degree temps. But I also was being OVERLY aggressive. I agree that it could damage the tires as summer tires are a softer compound meant for warmer weather.

I am not 100% sure, but I think I’ve seen worse premature wear with out of spec toe than out of spec camber.

My PS4 A/S just passed their first and only real test Friday night driving through sleet /freezing rain in Raleigh. Roads weren't terrible, but I saw numerous other drivers having a rough go of it while I barely noticed any slippage, driving cautiously of course.

I had them on my 392 challenger. They were so good I decided I’ll just get them again on my ITS. I watched a good YouTube video where this dude drove a snow course with summer/AS/winter tires. The all seasons were like 18 seconds slower around the course. And the summers I do t even think he was able to complete it cause of the incline part. Couldn’t make it up. Was a great video

I swapped out the OEM copper rims and the PS4S with the OEM black rims and 245/35R19 Vredestein Wintrac Pro's and live in Upstate, NY.

Made a point to go out when we've gotten some good snow and the ITS was rock solid. Good traction and stopping distance, confidence inspiring.

I've never NOT put snows on, they make all the difference. And I'd like to keep the PS4S' fresher for a while if possible. They're not exactly cheap.

in a place like upstate NY I totally get it. We don’t get those levels of snow in southern Ohio like that. All seasons are perfectly reasonable for here. At least we don’t typically get the kind of snow we got like 2-3 weeks ago. Even then, driving on the “cleared roads” after the plows and the salt dogs come out, the ps4 a/s have done amazing. Night and day difference.

We've had some snow here in Virginia and my recently ordered all-season tires were still at my shop/work. I tried to drive the car on the stock PS4S tires and couldn't even get out of my parking space. A previous drive in 38-degree rain was a white-knuckle affair too. Even in the dry, the front tires would light up any time I got on the gas below about 45 F. It was terrible.

Got the all-season (General G-Max) tires on and everything was better. No problems in light snow/slush, no traction issues in the cold.

I'll switch back to the Pilot Sports when the weather warms up again.

Yeah, that’s my plan. Around mid to late April I’ll throw em back on.
