Upgrading rear view camera

Compared to my other vehicles. The backup camera resolution is terrible.

Would anyone know the resolution of our media screen? Upgrading the camera would be pointless if the screen is low-res.

By the looks of the camera itself, it looks pretty basic to replace the camera inside the mount:

Yeah all my other cars had better cameras as well would be nice ..I was thinking of getting the digital mirror to assist

Its not that bad. I dont use the back up camera like a TV. My lines however feel like its a few degrees off. I'm always slightly crooked when I park. Also, have to adjust the sticky back up camera every time I drive.

My local ITS club members and I were just joking/chatting about how we hardly are ever able to park this car straight the first time, due in large part to the backup camera.

Ok, glad it's not just me. The camera is skewed a bit left to right along the bottom as well and it's annoying.

My own camera has shifted, now I see part of my license plate along the bottom of the screen. I think it occurred while driving on a washboard gravel road.

An issue I see are the different camera positions (normal, wide angle and look-down). The new camera would need this ability to switch.

Any owners of other Acura models that have better quality cameras? MDX, TLX?

it's the same exact camera that was on the 9th gen civics with the addition of the wide angle and look-down modes. it's literally the same resolution and everything though. it's really embarrassing that honda re-used it on the new acuras.

GOD I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME TOO LOL

i had my 9th gen civic si for 9 years and i still couldn't figure out how to park it straight with the camera LOL

commenting here to keep an eye on efforts. the stock rear camera in this car is an insult. absolutely horrible; i expect so much more considering the cost of this car. this is 2024, not 2004. id love to find a replacement for the potato cam they stuck back there.

Man up and use your mirrors. Camera for distance only. Park perfect every time.
