Well, the dealership still has my car. Dropped off last week on Wednesday, so they've had it about a week so far.

Latest update I have is that the Acura techline rep confirmed that Acura is aware of the issue and they are actively working on a software update, which may be news to many.

I hope this doesn't take too long. I appreciate that I've been given a loaner car and I understand the dealership is relatively limited in what they can do considering this is a warranty repair, but I wish Acura could be more forthcoming about what's going on, when the real fix can be expected, and/or if there's interim fixes that can be done in the meantime.

I'm not frustrated with the dealership in this case, but I am with Acura right now. This car is so new and to have this issue and not even an estimate on when the fix will be ready is upsetting.

I guess the silver lining in this case is that the forthcoming fix should be a permanent one at least.

Edit: Dealership did confirm the car threw code P0011.

Quick update:
I picked up my car this morning. Code was reset, but no other action taken at this time.

According to another ITS owner in the thread for this issue in the broader Integra issues subforum (linked below), Acura has instructed dealerships to not replace any parts for now while they investigate the issue and come up with a remedy.

It's great to be driving the car again, but there is unfortunately that nagging thought in the back of my head that the issue could rear its ugly head again.

That said, I believe the dealership did everything they could. This is really in Acura's hands now to determine the root cause issue and then get a fix rolled out. I'll update here when I hear more on the fix or if the issue comes up again (I sure hope not though).

Update on my end: My car got the software update today. Not sure if it's only for the Type S or if it can be applied to all Integras though.

Invoice references service bulletin 22-100 and notes, "PERFORMED CMP SENSOR LEARN AND IN VTC LEARNING VALUE CLEAR TO CORRECT. TEST DROVE VEHICLE AFTER REPAIR, ALL OKAY."

I appreciate the dealership and the service advisor I worked with, and all they did to help with my frustrations about this issue. Glad to have this fixed!

@norsairius they replaced my entire ECU harness and did the same flash. The car feels pretty good and has NOT had a issue since I got it back. But I am still under 5K miles.

Hope your luck holds out as well and your issues is fully resolved.

Thanks! I hope things hold out for you too!

So far, so good on my end. Only about a couple weeks since the fix was done though, so time will tell. I'm at around 2400 miles right now.

Was there any event that caused this to happen in the first place? Any particular driving scenario that you could point a finger at? If you think of anything outside the norm, it could be helpful so the rest of us can avoid it.

the 'emissions' cel thing doesn't seem to be caused by anything in particular. i got mine at ~500 miles one night when i went to move it under my car port; i hadn't been driving it, in fact it had been sitting in my driveway all day.

Chiming in here to say that this issue was pretty sudden and unexpected for me too.

The car had been parked in an underground/heated parking garage for hours and the issue presented itself when I was heading home and simply driving through the city at a normal pace (not driving spiritedly).

If I recall correctly, I had the engine/exhaust in Sport+ with rev match on. It was also a colder day outside, maybe in the mid to upper 20s Fahrenheit? The issue presented itself within minutes after I started driving, so the engine was not at full operating temp. Not sure if any of that makes much of a difference though as it relates to this issue.

It appears the cars don't like to be parked under something and letting you know. 😂
for clarity, my car wasn't parked under anything. it had been sitting out in the driveway all day, and i went to move it back 20 feet under my car port.

Posting an update here should others have this issue and find this thread, but here's the Acura technical service bulletin for this issue: http://www.urvi.net/forumfiles/SB/B24-026.PDF
good info. i'm wondering if those of us who experienced the issue then cleared it ourselves with a code reader should have the dealership perform the steps of that bulletin anyway

btw iasked that question and they said no they wont do anything if they dont have an error to look at and something to troubleshoot. Which is why i wont clear the codes although i want to.
