Yes. It's super annoying. You can pop the plastic cover down and put some foam under there and it should help.
That's good to know, thanks! I did the same thing with the plastic cover behind the rear view mirror which was even worse. I didn't know you could remove just the grill, I thought the hole console had to come out but and I'm afraid of messing up the headliner.

Just to confirm though, I attached a picture and circles the grill I'm referring too. I can literally move it around with my finger lol.

I'm referring to the plastic cover that is above the the rear view mirror and is covering the back of the lane keep assist camera. It has a couple small horizontal vents on it in the center.

I had my windshield replaced at the dealership where I purchased the car. It was covered by my insurance. Crazy story, I had a dealership in NYC give me a quote for the replacement and that is what the insurance wrote me a check for. But I took my car to a dealership in the Midwest and it cost $1000 cheaper. So I pocketed $1000 from the whole ordeal.

Oh I see, that's the one I've already padded lol. From looking at the ebay part I found, it actually looks like I can just yank the front of console down after undoing the two screws.

That's actually really interesting, I'm glad the windshield replacement worked out better than expected!

This is the same part I referenced in my original post. This part's loosey goosey and I figure I'll just deal with it when I replace it with a fitcamx.

As for the windshield replacement - thanks for the info! My policy doesn't cover windshield outside of the comprehensive (USAA out here in California) so I'd be out of pocket in excess of the deductible. and I carry $1k on mine.

I'm not one for bandaids or janky fixes, but that's one where I'd throw some tape on it to see if it fixes it. If so, then have the dealer fix it. If not, keep on chasing.

I thought I had a rattle from up there, and nearly lost my cool chasing it. Turned out to be the infotainment screen again. I've had 3 separate rattles for that screen alone. I just detest touchscreens in cars, especially ones cheaply stuck on like this.

Overhead console from fixit cam, misc crap in the armrest, passenger seatbelt, speakers and other parts from playing music too loud, and thats it for now.

The fixit cam adds another foot of extra cable and I can hear it rattling. Theres not enough slack to tape it. I think the only solution is to possibly stuff it with tissue.

I'm going to see if dealer can fix it next time I bring it in. I know for sure it's this thing because I've pressed on it while it's buzzing to stop it (which worked), and it literally wiggles around if I poke it lol.

I was able to fix the one behind the mirror myself with some foam tape and the Infotainment one hasn't come back for months, knock on wood haha.

Playing music too loud generally fixes it 😎
Good thing this system is decent.

Are you saying the fitcamx caused a rattle?

I have a rattle from the stock console now and was hoping the fitcamx install would fix it.

It definitely contributed to it. Also tapped the mirror for a radar detector. The fixit cam looks great in pictures but it's basically just the trim with a flimsy camera and internals. I'm pretty sure I have an extra 3-4 inches of extra cable behind the trim. It's my second time taking it apart and reinstalling it. It's a pain in the ass because the eyeglass holder uses two phillips (upsidedown) screws that you can drop so easily. Magnetic phillips would help.

My 2025 DE5 has buzzed and rattled since like 100 miles on the car. There were some really annoying metallic sounding ones in the interior that went away at like 400 miles somehow but now it's random whether or not certain rattles are loud or not depending on the weather. I kinda doubt any of these cars are buzz or rattle free LOL. I fixed the seat belt rattles but my glove box area and passenger door make me want to commit felonies sometimes.
