Hi guys,

I have been waiting until I got her paint corrected but wanted to share that I got my replacement integra post-accident on Black Friday.
This time though, I opted for the 6MT and now realized my commute isn’t bad enough to make the CVT the only practical choice.
Miss my remote start but other than that, loving every second. Getting some minimal PPF this new year on the headlights and pillars, spacers are on order and looking to get them on in the spring as well as getting her ceramic tinted; get her back to where my old car was in terms of aesthetics. Opted to get some tuxmats this time around though other than the OEM all weather mats and absolutely loving them.
Can’t wait to start really getting on her after break-in. Haven’t red-lined or gone above 5k rpm yet and have been granny shifting thus far. Such a comfy and enjoyable ride 🤙

Glad to see you back in track. Definitely made the right choice with the 6MT this time around. I’ve driven both, and I feel like they’re completely different cars.

Thanks mate! It definately feels like a different car and the mini pulls I’ve been doing in 2nd and third have more oomph than the cvt; I’m loving it! Getting used to the shifter though with the rev hang; sometimes 3rd feels a little clunky to get into it seems. I don’t think it’s the car but just my technique. It’s been years since I’ve driven a stick. Any tips for grandpa style driving in the ASpec? Just want it to be as smooth as possible for my commute

Just practice. These cars are pretty easy to drive, and I’m sure you’ll master it in no time. I drive mine pretty gingerly, and I never miss a gear.

Right on. I was thinking it was synchros doing their thing improperly or I had done something wrong. With time I’m sure I’ll figure it out :)

A rear motor mount helps with the low gear jerkiness. I have the PRL RMM and it helped alot.
Def going to look into this. When I had the cvt I didn’t even think of this upgrade but have heard nothing but good things about getting one for the manual

My biggest issue at the moment is figuring out how to drive my A-Spec MT in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the highway. I haven't found a good way to keep it smooth. It seems like the car really doesn't like to be at low RPMs, so I end up putting in the clutch and coasting a lot of the time.

Yeah getting into bumper to bumper is just a lot of clutch in and easing out to coast without any gas for me. People around me (SE Pennsylvania) seem to like to either ride your tail becasue they see the gap (but fail to see traffic braking 4 car lengths ahead) and get pissed or they decide to go around and get in front of me, making me need to now account for their over-braking. I was a conscious and patient traffic driver in my cvt and always coasted and allowed a gap but even moreso now with the manual

It’s one hell of a blue. It pops so hard in the sun.
When she’s clean too it looks like some kind of rich blue delicious candy. Almost has some purple pops to it too. Darkest car I’ve ever owned so we will see how nice I can keep it and for how long 😂
