I don’t get this opinion. What does build quality have to do with “what this cars about”? It’s marketed as the more daily, street version of the Type R, therefore it should be more solid and refined. It’s not a track car where shit rattling all over the place doesn’t matter. There’s no denying the interior and build quality is pretty substandard for a mid-$50k car. I love the driving experience as much as anyone else, but when the only option I have to drown out dash and engine rattles is to blast music, the driving experience is lessened. The rattles do not bother me one bit at this point. That's not what this car is about.
Also on a side note, just switched back to my OEM PS4S from my "winter" Conti DWS06+. The Michelin are noticeably quieter inside the cabin to my ears...
Peel away the A stickers and it's still a civic. Did you have to go trigger opto like that?I don’t get this opinion. What does build quality have to do with “what this cars about”? As with most opinions, it's just a matter of personal tolerance, and expectations. I'm open to the concept that maybe the rattles in my car aren't as bad as others so it's easier for me to not be bothered by it. But end of the day, if I wanted and expected a serene driving environment I'd buy a Lexus- and be extremely disappointed with the overall driving experience.I don’t get this opinion. And the more I think about it, and longer I own the car, it becomes more apparent just how SHOCKINGLY fun to drive this car is.well said. Average price of a new car is now like 46k or something. The Integra is barely above average. It just happens to be sort of a specialty car. Lots of the budget went towards handling, chassis, suspension, etc. etc. Of course good looks as well. Interior and materials fit and finish are definitely just mainstream like a 30k Civic.
What am I missing here?I think about the wonderful work this guy is doing every-time I hear a rattle.
