Just thought about this one, with the embedded "Integra" under the headlight on the front bumper, I imagine attempting to PPF the front is going to be a fun challenge either requiring to not protect that area, or have individual cutouts for each letter.
Tiny thing, but I regretted not protecting my Golf R when I had it, and wont make the mistake again.

There's a vendor on Etsy that sells colored vinyl letter cutouts for the embossed Integra--it'd save you the trouble of trying to cut your own, but I'm not sure if they offer clear.

Most vendors are pretty accommodating, so I reckon they'd understand if that's what you wanted and they can get ahold of the material.

I would imagine they will overlay the whole area and cut out the letters. No PPF inside the letters.

I will ask the guy that does my cars.

Yes, they cut out the PPF for the Integra logo when I had mine done last July with Xpel.

Can confirm, the laser-cut template has the letters cut out. No PPF on the recessed portion. I, too, was curious when I brought it in how they would handle it. I had it done by a professional shop in Nashville and it looks great. Noticeable from up-close, but as soon as you're a few feet away it looks great. A little additional work for the shop to line it up, but it's certainly not the first car with sunk-in lettering.

I can't fault them for taking that approach, but I think I'd rather have it applied w/o any cutouts for the sunk-in letters on the front of the car. It's tricky, but it looks like it can be done.

I spoke to my local shop and they don't have the Type S templates yet. He mentioned that the company that creates these would come and scan my car.

Was at the dealership today to check out how the PPF installation was going. They cut around the letters like this . The guy mentioned cutting letters is too messy and it would not last long

While it might not look as nice, I'd probably not want anything cut so as to leave it a solid piece. My current car was fully filmed almost 8 yrs ago immediately after purchase and I've only ever hand washed my car (regular hose, 2-bucket method, no pressure washing or mechanical/automated washing). Major edges are wrapped, but there is still some lifting of the edges as dirt/debris works it's way at the edges/seams.

I'm looking into PPF for this car, and my local Xpel installer says the templates are still not available, so would have to do a custom job that would drive the price way up and he basically said he just doesn't have the time.

Who is doing PPF on these cars right now? What are you spending? I have to imagine for a "custom" PPF install it would drive the price to outrageous levels and/or not be a great job.

I've seen a bad PPF job ruin several cars. I think I'll wait for the template.

My local guy says suntex would come scan the car if they don't have a template ready when I get mine.

I'm waiting until some pre-cut kits are available, otherwise for me it doesn't seem worth it. In the meantime I stay away from trucks if on the highway.

My experience is doing a custom ( no pre-cuts) ppf on complex panels ( bumper) doubles the price. A partial hood and front fenders that are custom cut is pretty straight forward and shouldn't add much.....but the bumper is very complex and would be labor intensive.

I just had mine done on Monday with SunTek, and they had templates available. The individual letters in "Integra" are cut out on the template and match up almost perfectly.

Dumb question, but how much of the front bumper does it cover? I assume it does NOT cover the grille, but does it cover the front gloss vents and the beam in front of the intercooler?
