Maybe I missed it while trying to search, but I couldn’t find another thread about this.

Anyone else had an issue where over bumps/imperfections you get noise from the drivers side window? It’s not the seatbelt holder because the noise goes away when the window is down even a half inch.

Dealer replaced the run channel, claimed the car is fixed and now says it is a problem with all Integras. Love the car, but this noise is driving me crazy.

I had something that seemed like the window rattled on mine, but I had so may pop up I gave up on trying to locate them. I had a very bad rattle where the infotainment screen and center speaker are.

Have the same issue. Dealer replaced run channel, same problem persists.
Dealer also stated the window needs room to move to go up and down which I understand, but the driver side window is the only one that rattles like crazy. I also tried some spray lube and didn't fix the issue.

Hate to hear that. Could understand the window needing room, if problems like this existed on every other car. Yet my 24 year old S2000 has windows that don’t make a damn sound.

Love everything else about the car so I’m just going to keep trying my own fixes along with being a pain in the ass to Acura until someone figures it out.

Mine only rattle when there open and you shut the door. Which even this feels cheap and I'm worried something will break.

Yeah, all the time. I just push on the seat belt tensioner assembly and it usually stops it for a while.

My passenger seat belt has started rattling its ass off when the windows are down, that's sort of new.

None of these things are exclusive to this car btw. This whole concept that this car rattles more than others is a fallacy. I've had two consecutive Macans I've had to take in for similar rattles. One needed a bit of felt. The other needed the bolts for the seats tightened, they were loose from the factory.

YMMV. It's probably unwise to look to trade the car in for stuff like this, just saying.

I hate when dealers use the “they all have that rattle” cop out. I’d call their bluff and say let’s see if another Integra on the lot has the same rattle. Similar with people calling out the front bumper alignment lines, “they’re all imperfect, deal with it”. It’s bogus.

I understand it can be like chasing a ghost and that’s a pain in the ass but telling people they all do it is nonsense and I don’t think Honda/Acura would appreciate the blame as if it’s a design fault.

No plans of trying to trade it in. Not the first new car I’ve had with rattles and won’t be the last.

However, I’m going to fight with Acura as hard as I can until this window issue is fixed. Unacceptable on a new car and to just claim it’s normal.

Car was back at the dealership yesterday. Tech line won’t help because I have a dash camera installed. Both front windows make noise over bumps.

We tried some strips of foam tape in a few spots in the run channel but it did nothing for the noise. At this point they want to chalk it up to characteristic of the car. I am waiting for them to get another Type S in so I can drive it to compare.

Dealership has gone out of their way to try to accommodate but they don’t have any answers unfortunately. So frustrating to deal with this many noises on a brand new car.

No we don't all have that rattle. If that was the case every Honda Civic on the road would be rattling since it's probably the same hardware inside the door.

The most frustrating part of all this is how impossible it is to get to someone who can actually help. I shouldn’t have to try foam in run channels to get rid of the noise from a window that clearly moves when it shouldn’t.

I would start with what stops the noise for you. If it's window partially open, or pressing on panels, etc.

It's frustrating for sure. I've had a rattle coming from the seat belt area, but now after they've felt taped it all I have a new noise that sounds like it's either the window or the ring on the seat belt loop. It only happens over drops like manhole covers.

I have yet to find anything that would prevent the noise, but my suspicion is that it's slop in the door latch mechanism, which allows the whole door frame to move more than it should.

Having the window 1/4” down or any further will make the noise go away. Only happens when the window is up fully and you go over a bump, etc.

Does it stop if you press on the window at the top edge, bottom edges, middle, sides, or any combination otherwise? Is it a click, thump, thunk, tap, twang, buzz, or just straight glass rattle?

It could be the window motor knocking about when it's full up and just echoing through the glass as well. That's hard to reproduce and identify.

I honestly haven’t had a ton of time to mess with it on my own. Plus I hear it most from the drivers seat so I need to have someone drive while I sit I back and can try to manipulate the window.

I’m installing logo projectors soon and going to mess with the window tensioner while I have everything apart as well.
