They called me the other day. They were allocated a TEP Ebony ITS and wanted to know if I wanted it. I passed, obviously. I see it now on Acura’s website as incoming inventory. Someone got a very good call the other day. Whoever you are, you’re welcome. 😜
Oh yeah, originally they told me 6-12 months, but easily into 2024. So imagine my surprise calling in September. Soooo, for all of you on a waitlist, hang in there. Allocations are not distributed equally. A dealership should know if they’ll be able to fulfill your order. If they don’t I’d say they are not being upfront with you or they do not have a good relationship with their regional Acura rep who helps with those allocations.

Cloned my TPMs sensors and swapped out to a set of MF10’s with MPS4S tires. Stock suspension FYI.

Not gonna lower this car. My Model 3 and FK8 are lowered with body aero and I hate scraping on inclines and ramps, so this is staying stock height.

Here's my phone holder solution. I got this magnetic phone holder from Temu for like $7 but shipping took about two weeks. Amazon sells a slightly nicer quality one made by BaseUS for around $20. I like it because it's minimal and also bendable. If you're an iPhone user, the magnets are strong. I'm using a Pro Max in the photo for reference.

For the charging cable, I got the ones from MagTame (also on Amazon). They coil up magnetically so they don't dangle unnecessarily everywhere. It also eliminates the need for a cable organizer. Cable quality is really nice too.

Didn’t like the look of the bronze MF10’s so swapped out to some 18x10 et+40 CE28 CR3’s instead. Darker wheels match better against the pearl white color in my opinion. Luckily I have lots of wheels to swap out to from my FK8. Gonna run with TPMS error code that doesn’t affect anything that I can tell so far. Have a few other set ups to run on the DE5 from my FK8, so may change up again in a few days or next week.

Have to find my center caps in my garage too and will take new pics when I find them. My favorite setup so far for the DE5 are these CE28’s…better than TE37’s and equivalent to Advan Racing RS-DF’s that I have on my Tesla.

Got ready for the track tomorrow (Willow Springs, Big Willow). Swapped out to Motul 660 brake fluid and slapped on FL5 forged accessory wheels wrapped with Michelin Sport Cup 2 Connects, also installed splash guards; track day organizer said no center caps

PS: confirmed, brand new OEM TPMS sensors are auto sensed and paired

Acura should offer the forged FL5 wheels as a factory accessory option.
