@SlippyFist I did some testing, here are results:

Equipment list:
-Pittsburgh low-profile 1.5 ton aluminum floor jack + rubber pad on lifting surface
-Pittsburgh 3 ton aluminum jack stands + rubber pad on jack point surface
-Megan Racing 2-piece low profile ramps
-6 pieces of 2”x8”x12” wood

Lifting at rear jack point with my floor jack maxed out will not allow jack stands to fit under rear pinch weld locations. So I used my wood pieces to create a raised platform for the floor jack to be on, increasing ground clearance. My jack stands are still a little too tall, so I’m going to buy some low-profile jack stands for rear-lifting duty.

No issues with front jack point; drive on ramps, place jack and lift, easily clears for my current jack stands
I have the same pittsburgh equipment and the portable ramps from harbor freight. havent tried it yet. guess I am going to have to stage the heights with wood under the jack to get it high enough to install the new PRL front pipe and rear motor mount huh?
staged my civic at all four corners an inch at a time until I had all the jack stands high enough to do the entire exhaust.

So sorry if I’m misunderstanding but is there a reason why we can’t use the corner jacking locations? The regular integra can but the type s can’t? Find it sort of weird because all of my past cars I used the corner to jack up for changing wheels.
You can use the corner jack points to change tires!

But it is impossible to use the corner jack points if you want to use jack stands to go under the car...

I see. What I did with my GR86 was use the front left and jack it up high enough where it would lift one side of the car and then put a jack stand in the rear left to change two wheels at a time. Is the integra stiff enough to do the same?

My jack won’t reach unless I get the car on ramps first. But they’re adequate for oil changing on multiple cars. However if you want a jack that reaches without any ramps you’ll need these: for $800

https://www.kiaspecialtools.com/Catalog/Product?id=KLS359775
hmmm... expensive but still half the price of a the QuickJack lol

does that reach the front center point as well without needing ramps and fuckery?

EDIT: looks like that jack is only rated for 3000lbs, so it falls a bit short of our car's weight.

also one thing i was wondering, even if you can jack the rear up high enough without ramps- what i visualize in my head is that the car where the pinch welds is at would be at a pretty high angle due to the distance between them and the jacking point... is it even safe to lower the car on jack stands when its at a 20 degree angle or whatever?

Hey may be santa will bring you a quick jack...Taking care of your parents oil changes/tires rotations..major props:thumbsup:
yeah santa is not going to spend that much money on me lol, only i'm stupid enough to do that

the jack Is 4ft deep so it will reach the center jack point easily being only 2.7” height as it’s ultra low profile.

the limitations are 16.5” jack vertical lift height. But that’s plenty. 1.5Ton rating is sufficient because you’re not lifting the entire weight of the vehicle from one point, two jacks should always be used to distribute the weight, even with just one the other two wheels are planted to the ground. Cars aren’t meant to be serviced supported by just the jacks. You’ll need to place jackstands at the four support locations

these are pricey, and it just eliminates the need of ramps.

for your question about jackstands angle you need these :

This is what I do too and no issues so far.

about that dominator jack, i keep seeing a blue one and a yellow one- is there any difference?

as far as i can tell, they have the same model # (35-9775) and are the same thing, i just want to make sure as i'm really thinking about pulling the plug on that versus the QJs

edit: i actually just called them and asked them, they are the same thing- they were originally yellow/black and they've started powder-coating them blue/black because they look better lol, other than that same product same specs

I wouldn’t have been able to answer the question lol. I don’t own these. Already paid for a $300 jack recently so didn’t want to pay for another one so I built ramps.

but whichever floats your boat and how much you’re willing to spend and how much you plan to work on your car

it’s a very stiff car, but CTR/ITS uses a special type of metal:

In general it’s best to avoid jacking up from the side support location pinch welds

why not just change the two front and rear tires at the same time instead of the side?

Interesting, that post says don’t jack from pinchweld directly but right under that it’s insinuating to use a jack pad to even out the force on the pinchweld? I was thinking for doing a tire rotation it would be easier this way. It’s also easier to access pinchweld compared to the front and rear jacking points for me.

Isn't google great? The next time I need technical shop advice I'll be sure to consult "Seashore Rubber" first.

I think they are saying the pinch welds are only for jack stands..
