He has full bolt ons, and with Phearable stage 2 tune, and only around 350HP
That doesnt seem to be the norm...

Dyno number variation is based off:
The gear you're in and how close to 1:1 it is
The weather
How the weather metrics are input
The dyno's calibration
Fuel quality
Airflow
The dyno operator

And most importantly dyno numbers on a closed dyno are irrelevant for comparison between car to car and day to day. They are only relevant in comparing to your own baseline.

360whp is a lot, and expecting 380 is around a 5% margin of error, so is it really that different? Are the other cars on other dyno really putting out 380 or are those fluffed numbers? At 380whp I expect the car to do the quarter in upper 11s/low 12s and near or over 120mph.

This video is a great tale of caution regarding comparing different cars on different dynos. Even dynos of the same brand can vary quite a bit. The only way to really judge your power improvements would be to make a baseline pull on this dyno before tuning, then you would have something to compare against.

Since this is a basic bolt on car, the owner could return to the dyno and test it on the factory calibration, the off the shelf map, and the custom tune all in the same session. Rudz is a top notch operation and I'd be confident that they can help you get the testing done in a such a way that he has great results to go by.

My biggest takeaway was that there was no baseline to compare the results to (but admittedly I stopped watching the video at the 10 min mark). For all we know, the car could have baselined at 280hp on the stock map. I'm no dyno expert either but I'm thinking it would have been wise to run the factory map a few times before the tune was loaded.

If you care about hp you should look into a scatt pack. those things have almost 400 hp off the lot.

It should but a cautionary tale, but it's not and it won't be. How many times does this need to be discussed? And I still can't make heads or tails if this video was created for clicks or out of sheer ignorance. It's shocking that in 2024 enthusiasts still don't understand how a chassis dynamometer works, what it is, and its purpose. Even if you know little about them, one can exercise a little common sense to interpret the data. Have you never done a science fair project?

I don't think is a click bait. After browsing the comments section the guy is genuinely disappointed with the numbers.

He strongly believes that all dynos read the same.

It's 2024 and I still see 80%+ of car enthusiasts who still don't know the difference between turbo lag and turbo threshold.

If they can't manage that I don't expect most of the population to ever understand the intricacies of "measuring horsepower" with a ton of variables.

I'll also point out the its has no 1:1 gear, so doing a pull in 5th and adjusting the dyno metric to 0.93:1 for gear ratio is correct.

Just theorizing, but if the shop assumed it was 1:1, the specific car model wasn't available on the spec sheet, or they simply forgot to change a manual adjustment, and then you account for the 0.93 he'd be sitting around 376 to 387whp. Seems closer to his dreams.
