I ceramic coated my entire car, so it gets nowhere as bad as that.

Same, and it helps but isn't perfect. I think with the plastic at the latch area, the angle for water to drip off can vary. On a flat surface mine pools water there, and there's nothing ceramic can do to fix that.

Don't look at my car! With the winter, it is really, really, way, way dirtier than that!
Yeah, pretty much same. I recently grabbed a 2gal battery powered weed sprayer and some optimum no rinse wash. Works well for washing the car in the garage when it's frozen and gross outside. Winter is still winter though....

That line you see is because they do a sloppy job laying on the paint/clearcoat and there are thick spots on many corners and panel edges. In extreme cases I have seen drips and runs on these cars. Boggles my mind that Honda paintwork is that bad.

My car from dealer/factory was in rough shape. There were no less than 20 spots of swirling (from clearly an 8" single action buffer), oxidation, pin holing, holograms, and even marring. That's not even getting into the orange peel and haze. I measured variation of clear from 5.6-5.8 micron down to 3.9-4.1 micron across several panels on the whole car. My ppf person also lifted paint on the gloss black sections when replacing some ppf, so we've got something in common with ferrari and McLaren paint 🤣

Honestly though, I've seen the same awfulness from Ford, Toyota, Chevy, and definitely Honda in recent years. Nothing makes me cringe like the Tacoma bumpers. They're so hazy you can't even see a reflection on gloss black...

Wheel brake dust is worse.
Aha, that's where wheel ceramic comes in! Helps a ton, along with an iron busting wheel cleaner! I buy the Adam's wheel cleaner in gallon jugs. Their ceramic is pretty solid too.

The whole back of the car gets pretty dirty IMO.
Agreed, the back end of this car gets way dirtier before any other part I have noticed. I think it has something to do with the rear diffuser and the way the air flows at the rear of the car.

I think it's typical for hatchbacks (and wagons) to get dirty back there. The diffusers on this car are cosmetic.

This is an intriguing approach; I am going to have to look into this a little more...

But yeah, that spot get filthy...
